After the intense showdown between Minwoo and Hye-sun, an eerie stillness fell over the Moonlight Mansion. A cold breeze whispered through the hallways, leaving an unsettling feeling that made everyone inside uneasy.

In Hye-sun's room, Aya and Ryu stood before Hye-sun, their expressions filled with worry and bewilderment. Ryu was the first to speak, his voice filled with doubt.

"Why did you assault Jiyeon?" He asked, his gaze intensifying as he observed Hye-sun's response. "Do you think Minwoo is protecting her?"

Hye-sun's lips curved into a cunning grin, while her eyes revealed the envy and irritation simmering just below the facade.

"Minwoo protects her because he feels obligated," she replied, her voice filled with contempt. "However, it's not solely about safeguarding. I feel disgusted by the strong attraction he has towards her."

Aya and Ryu exchanged a glance, both picking up on the bitterness in Hye-sun's voice.

"Is that the reason behind your assault on her?" Aya asked, her voice gentle yet inquisitive. "Is it because of your jealousy?"

Hye-sun's expression grew steely, and she stood tall, a determined spark in her eyes.

"I did what I needed to do to keep him safe," she replied, her voice icy and resolute. "Jiyeon poses a significant challenge, whether Minwoo is aware of it or not. And if he refuses to take the necessary actions to control her, then I will."

Ryu approached, his face serious as he looked at Hye-sun.

"Attacking Jiyeon was a thoughtless and perilous act," he said firmly. "It is crucial that we maintain clear judgment, particularly in the current circumstances. The situation is already delicate enough without exacerbating it further."

Hye-sun's jaw tightened, yet she kept her silence, her eyes darting back and forth between Aya and Ryu.

"We should prioritize finding a solution that ensures Jiyeon's safety," Aya interjected, her tone gentle yet resolute. "It is imperative that we prioritize the safety of all individuals residing in this mansion, without allowing our emotions to interfere."

With a deep sigh, Hye-sun reluctantly agreed, her shoulders slumping in resignation.

"Alright," she admitted, her voice barely audible. "But trust me, Jiyeon is a handful. And if Minwoo refuses to acknowledge it, then I'll ensure he does."

Aya and Ryu exchanged another glance, silently recognizing the seriousness of the situation. They were aware of the potential danger posed by Hye-sun's jealousy, which could hinder their mission to safeguard Jiyeon and uncover the secrets of the Fox Bead.

In his room at the Moonlight Mansion, Minwoo sat in silence, feeling the weight of his thoughts bearing down on him like a suffocating burden. The events of the day had left him feeling restless and unsettled, his mind consumed by thoughts of Park Haejin and the mysterious Enigma Puzzle.

Lost in the view of the moonlit landscape outside, Minwoo's mind wandered back to Haejin, his past love whose memory lingered like an ethereal presence. He fondly recalled her laughter, her smile, and the comforting sensation of her touch, all now distant echoes of a love lost to the passage of time.

However, despite his strong desire to be reunited with Haejin, Minwoo couldn't help but sense that circumstances were working against them. The Enigma Puzzle, with its tantalizing allure of boundless power and wisdom, felt like a harsh reminder of the challenges that lay ahead.

With closed eyes, Minwoo indulged in the memories of Haejin, cherishing their moments together as if they were priceless gems. However, as he indulged in the poignant memories, a feeling of acceptance engulfed him.

Maybe, he pondered, it was about time to release the grip on the past and concentrate on the present. The Enigma Puzzle may not have brought him any closer to Haejin, but it provided him with the chance to discover fresh insights and carve out a way forward.

Minwoo was determined to uncover the mysteries of the Enigma Puzzle, driven by a deep desire to shape a brighter future for himself and his loved ones.

As he fell into a slumber, his dreams were consumed by images of Haejin, her countenance illuminated by the gentle glow of the moon, a poignant symbol of the affection that had once guided him.

As Minwoo fell into a restless slumber, his dreams transformed into a haunting realm of darkness and shadows. In this dreamlike world, he found himself pursuing the enigmatic presence of Haejin, her silhouette glistening like a vision in the moonlit night.

With every stride he made, Haejin appeared to drift farther, her laughter reverberating mockingly in the vast emptiness. Driven to capture her, Minwoo pushed himself to run faster, his heart racing with a blend of yearning and urgency.

However, right when he was about to reach her, the figure in front of him suddenly transformed into Jiyeon, leaving no room for doubt. Surprised, Minwoo abruptly stopped, his breath catching in his throat as he gazed at the unforeseen presence.

Jiyeon's face twisted into a cruel imitation of Haejin's, her eyes filled with a malicious gleam as she mercilessly taunted him.

"Did you think you could elude me, Minwoo?" She scoffed, her voice filled with a chilling echo. "Did you believe that she could take my place?"

Minwoo felt a shiver of unease as he tried to make sense of the situation. This couldn't be happening, he thought with a sense of panic. Jiyeon couldn't be here, in his dream, wearing Haejin's face.

But as he extended his hand towards her, Jiyeon's figure flickered and trembled, resembling a flame swaying in the breeze, her appearance dissolving to expose the terrifying truth hidden beneath.

Standing in her place was a horrifying creature, its eyes filled with a sinister glow as it pounced forward with sharp claws extended. Minwoo was filled with fear, his heart racing as he desperately tried to flee from the horrifying situation that had consumed him.

However much he attempted, he remained trapped in the clutches of his overwhelming fears. As the creature drew nearer, its eerie laughter reverberating in his ears, Minwoo realized that he was about to embark on a harrowing journey from which escape seemed impossible.

As the first rays of sunlight gently peeked through the windows of the Moonlight Mansion, Jiyeon slowly awoke, her thoughts still hazy from the lingering fragments of her dreams. She let out a deep sigh, mustering the energy to rise from the bed. Rubbing her eyes, she attempted to dispel the lingering unease that seemed to envelop her.

As she got dressed and prepared to face the day ahead, Jiyeon couldn't help but sense that something was amiss. The events of the previous night had left her feeling unsettled, and she couldn't help but ponder the potential perils that hid within the mansion's walls.

As Jiyeon walked into the hallway, she was taken aback by the sight of Minwoo standing there. His face was inscrutable as he met her gaze. They both stood there, motionless, unwilling to shatter the heavy silence that enveloped them.

But just as Jiyeon was about to collect her thoughts and respond, Aya suddenly emerged from around the corner, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of the two of them standing there.

"Brother, Jiyeon," Aya said, sounding a bit perplexed. "Is everything okay?"

Neither Minwoo nor Jiyeon responded, their gaze locked in a captivating connection as if pulled together by an unseen power. Aya glanced between them anxiously, feeling the palpable tension that filled the room.

"Are you both...alright?" Aya inquired tentatively, uncertain of how to proceed.

At last, Minwoo shifted his attention from Jiyeon to Aya, his face displaying caution.

"We're okay," he replied shortly, his tone brisk. "Just...pausing for a moment."

Aya nodded, although she could sense that something was wrong. With a concerned look towards Jiyeon, she paused briefly before apologizing and quickly making her way down the hallway.

Once again, Minwoo and Jiyeon found themselves standing in silence, the tension between them almost tangible. Despite his growing unease, Minwoo hesitated to question Jiyeon about her decision to stay in the room, as he had initially anticipated.

As Jiyeon locked eyes with him, her resolve hardened. She was prepared to confront whatever challenges awaited her, even if it meant venturing into the unfamiliar with the mysterious Gumiho by her side.

As they stood there in the hallway, neither speaking nor looking away, Jiyeon couldn't help but sense a unique connection with Gumiho. It was as if they were destined to face the challenges ahead together, bound by an unspoken bond.
