Chapter 46

Alexander's POV

I decided to go back with Cole because I felt like we don't spend as much time together and I wouldn't want Cole to feel like Lani was replacing him.

Turns out I had nothing to worry about. Cole loves Lani and apparently, no one can replace such greatness. His words not mine.

Actually he did make me repeat that he was my bestfriend. He recorded it and is definitely going to use it against Shaun and Alan.

We finally made it back to my pack. It wasn't that long a ride but I still found myself missing Lani's presence. The cars pulled up in the driveway of the pack house.

We got out of the car and I was quick to bring Lani into my arms. "You can't get enough, can you?" Alan asked rolling his eyes. "You'll understand when you're older." I responded sticking my tongue out.

"Yeah, you're so mature." Kelly muttered sarcastically. "Thank you." I responded deciding to ignore the attitude. "What about me?" Shaun asked with a smirk wrapping his arm around Kelly.

"You're definitely better than Cole." Kelly shrugged. "Hey." Cole whined. "I'll take it."Shaun responded leaving his arm around Kelly. Is it too selfish for me to want my friends together?

"Let's just head in. A certain someone will be home from school soon."Alan said. "That's if she isn't off orchestrating a search party to look for her little, Ally." Shaun said in a girly voice.

"Oh come on...we would have heard the helicopter if she was around." Kelly said laughing. "I don't hear the blood hounds either." Shaun said between laughs.

"Oh ha ha. Aren't you two just fucking hilarious. "Alan growled walking away. "Careful Al, she might be in your room."  Kelly added making Shaun burst out laughing again.

"I hate you guys." Alan muttered walking in. Nevel followed him. "You're ditching me for someone you just met?" Lani called. "Nothing personal, Lei. I just like Alan." He said with a shrug.

"Gee thanks Nev." Lani responded rolling her eyes. I chuckled. "Wait." Kelly suddenly exclaimed. "What?" I asked confused. "Did you shift?" Kelly asked.

"Yeah." Shaun responded. "Cool. What colour is your wolf? Can I see? What's his name?" Kelly asked excitedly. "His name is Vincent and he's brown with black tips." Shaun said.

"Black? "Cole asked confused. "Yeah. I guess one of my parents had alpha blood." Shaun said with a shrug. "Congrats. "Lani said with a smile.

"Vincent? You've never liked that name." Kelly said confused. Kelly had once spoken about naming her son Vincent but Shaun thought it was a dumb name.

"Well...I just realized I loved it." Shaun said staring directly at Kelly.

Now I understand what Alan meant by painful to watch.

"Can I see?" Kelly asked. 'Can you control him?' I asked through the mindlink. 'I think so.' He responded.

"Sure." Shaun said stepping back. He slowly morphed into his wolf form. "Cool." Cole and Kelly said in sync. I swear these two are kids.

"You want to go in or do you want to stay with them?" I asked Lani. "Let's head in. Nevel's shy around new people. "She responded.

We walked in and it was quiet considering the pups are at school. 'You're a pup.' Dante stated. 'I'm 18. Fuck off.' I responded. This wolf just judges me all day.

We headed up to our floor to find Alan and Nevel in the living room. "Where's everyone?" I asked. "How should I know?" Alan asked going through his phone.
