Leilani's POV

Calvin talked to our parents and since we're all technically ready for university in terms of intelligence, we have permission to stay home and train when we want.

Well, we're going anyway. I'm going because I want Nevel to feel less nervous. It's not the same school, but it would make him feel better.

The boys of course jumped at the opportunity to ditch school. Kelly said she'd come with me so we went with Cole's car.

"So Nevel, how are you feeling? This is your first day at an actual school. "Kelly asked. "Is it too late to go back home?" Nevel asked. "It'll be fine, Nev. You'll meet new people." I responded.

"I've met enough people." Nevel murmured looking out the window. "I mean people your age. You're seven, Nev. You need to live like a regular kid." I responded.

"Trust me, besides the learning, school can be pretty fun." Kelly said. "Yes but the learning is also very relevant. "I stated. "Not really though. "Kelly shrugged.

I rolled my eyes. "Nev, you understand why you have to keep your scent hidden, right?" I asked when Kelly pulled up in the parking lot. He nodded.

"What if there's a rogue?" Nevel asked. "Even if rogues manage to get on packlands, there's a panic room for that kind of situation." Kelly responded. "And no one needs to know you're the prince." I added.

"Yeah, to everyone else, you're my cousin who just joined the pack. "Kelly said. Nevel nodded in agreement. "Okay...we're here. Are you ready? "I asked.

He took a deep breath before nodding with a smile. "Have fun." I said with a smile as he got out of the car. He waved and shut the door before skipping away.

"He'll be fine." I said like I was convincing myself. "Yeah, he will. He's a prince after all. "Kelly said reassuring me.

"Oh wait, that's my friend Abby. Jenna's daughter." Kelly said pointing at a beautiful red head with pale blue eyes. She rolled the window down. "Abby!" She screamed.

The girl looked at us and smiled walking over. "Hey Kelly, princess." She greeted bowing her head in respect. "You can call me, Lani. " I responded with a smile.

"I haven't seen you around in a while." Kelly said. "Yeah, I've been helping out at the pack hospital. "Abby responded. She looks young though. "Not to come across as rude but aren't you a bit young?" I asked.

"Abby was in our school. She was probably the smartest person there so she dropped out early to help the pack doctor." Kelly explained.

"I've always been intrigued by her job. It's nice helping her." Abby responded with a cute smile. "I'm your age by the way."she added. "No, you were born in November. I'm turning 18 friday." Kelly said with a smirk.

Abby rolled her eyes. "You're never gonna let me live this down are you?" She asked. "Nope." Kelly responded with a smile. "What are doing here by the way?"Abby asked.

"Dropping off my cousin." Kelly responded pointing to Nevel who was speaking to a little redhead or at least listening because the girl was the one speaking.

"I wouldn't worry, Ivy will make him feel welcome." Abby said chuckling. "Your sister is a mini you." Kelly said shaking her head. "Nope, I don't talk as much." Abby said laughing.

Looks like Nevel might be okay after all.
"Need a ride to the pack hospital? We aren't exactly in a hurry to get to school." I offered. "Actually...my cousin is picking me up." Abby said softly. Kelly  groaned.

"How are you cousins?" Kelly asked. "Who's her cousin?" I asked sensing the tension. There was a loud honk behind us. "That's Celine." Abby said with a wince.

"A different Celine perhaps? "I said hoping. "Nope. Same Celine." Kelly muttered. "Abigail. I have places to be!" Celine screamed. "How is that even possible? "I asked rolling my eyes.

"I see she's managed to get a new enemy. I don't know why she acts that way in school. "Abby said face palming herself. There was a loud continuous honk. "I'm coming!" Abby screamed.

"It was nice meeting you, Lani. I'll see you two around." Abby said running over to Celine.

"A part of me wants to run Celine over right now. "Kelly muttered pulling out of the parking lot. "Why does Celine have to ruin everything?" I groaned.

"I have been friends with Abby since we were kids but Celine and I never seemed to get along." Kelly responded.
"Does she get along with, Abby?" I asked.

"Well, yeah. They live together so I guess some fights once in a while but just like regular siblings." Kelly said. "So she's just a bitch to us?" I asked.

"I've always assumed it's because I'm closer to Alan. Then you came in the picture and you have made more progress with Alan than she ever has." Kelly explained.

"Why is she so obsessed with him? Power?" I asked. "Well the dark fangs pack is very powerful, but Celine doesn't seem to be after the power. Unlike Vivian. " Kelly said.

"So she genuinely likes Alan." I said. "Maybe, but Alan doesn't feel the same. She just has to move on." Kelly responded.

"That kinda sucks, having a crush on someone your whole life without them liking you back." I sighed. "I've known Celine my entire life, she's made it impossible for me to pity her." Kelly responded.

"The only crushes I've had are the boys from my anime." I said relaxing back in the seat. "You're so innocent." She said chuckling. "I'm not that innocent. " I argued.

"Don't worry, Xander is as much of a saint as you." She said. "I'm not a saint. Sophia is way more innocent. "I stated. "I bet. "She giggled.

We grabbed some coffee before school. Well, I got iced tea. I think we were just  avoiding going to school. We ended up going anyway.

The only time we saw each other was when we had the same classes and during lunch. "Where's Alan? "Celine asked coming out of nowhere.

Kelly rolled her eyes and I just ignored her presence. "Umm...I'm speaking to you." Celine said with her hands on her hips. "Yeah I wish you weren't. "I responded.

"How dare-" "Go away, Celine. Alan went back to his pack for the week." Kelly lied. I smirked. "What?" Celine asked looking terrified.

She turned around and dashed out of the cafeteria. "Alan's dad is going to kill her." I said. "As convenient as that sounds, I'd rather not have that on my conscious."Kelly muttered.

"I'll text Abby to get to Celine before she leaves the pack." Kelly said. "I hope she makes it." I chuckled. School was pretty uneventful without the boys. It was kind of amusing watching Wyatt go out of his way to avoid Kelly.

I would too if I was on the receiving end of Cole's wrath.

~~time skip~~

We're at Nevel's school waiting to pick him up. "Looks like Abby went to get Celine. Jenna's busy so looks like we're taking Ivy back home. "Kelly stated putting her phone away.

"Max wouldn't really kill her right?" I asked concerned. "Well he knows who she is and he'll definitely sense that she isn't a rogue. We're good." Kelly said with a wide smile.

Soon enough kids starting walking out of the building. Luckily, Nevel and Ivy walked out together. Looks like they got along. Nevel saw us and pointed at the car. "Kelly!" Ivy exclaimed running over.

"You're Nevel's cousin?" She asked. "Yeah. Your sister asked me to pick you up." Kelly said. Ivy nodded. She probably couldn't see me in the passenger's seat because she was short.

"You're- you're the princess. "Ivy stuttered, shocked as she got into the car. "Yes, I am." I chuckled.

"She's really nice. You can call her Lei...Or so I've heard. " Nevel stated reaching over to put on her seatbelt since she seemed shocked.

"Yeah, you can." I responded. "You're living with the actual princess." Ivy whisper screamed. Well, she's gonna be shocked when she realizes she's speaking to the prince.

Kelly and I shared a look and smiled.
