Ishimura – 16th century

Brooklyn, Katana, Sil, and Fu-dog were taken back to the land of Ishimura, Japan. Katana was totally enthusiastic about being back home again. She was so happy to see her clan again.

Brooklyn on the other hand was not so glad. He was happy for her that she was getting to see her clan again, but he remembered what she had said. If she had been brought back to the place of her birth and clan, she would never leave it again.

It was found that Yoshi had taken Jun, one of Katana's rookery sisters for his mate. The mating season had come and gone. Katana had been gone from their home for five years, though she had only been traveling with Brook, Sil, and Fu for only a year and a half by the Gate's standards.

Katana's kimono was officially ruined from having Brooklyn's blood on it from their last adventure. They gave her a new one.

There hadn't been any sort of trouble from the Tengu for some time. But shortly after their arrival, there was another showdown with Ganryu and he was put a stop to, him and his followers.

Following that, Brooklyn began dreading parting with Katana.

Katana came up to him to comfort him as she saw that he was feeling sad. "What's wrong, Brooklyn-san?"

"I know we have recently found love with one another, but Katana, you said that you would never part with your clan again if we came back here. I will hold you to your word. I won't let you break that promise. You deserve to be with your clan." Brooklyn declared to her. "But I will always love you. Sil and I must still keep to our traveling duties. Fu-dog too."

He ended up leaving to be alone for a while. Katana could only stare after him. He was truly an honorable male.

She went to the garden of life, and she saw how two statues, one male and one female anchored each other and were in balance. The female balanced the male. This was what Katana wanted to do for Brooklyn. And she saw no other males that she was attracted to. There were still many of the same males that she recognized, and they all had or mostly had mates of their own. Her time here felt over. Her life now seemed to belong with the red male and his companions.

Later, Katana got up in front of her clan. "Everyone, I have an announcement to make." They all glanced at the blue beaked female. Sil and Fu did too. Brooklyn was saddened but listened to what she had to say.

"When I first departed here with Brooklyn and his companions, I vowed that when I got the chance to return that I would never leave it again. But as I see now that I make a new vow tonight, that the only way that I'll leave again is as Brooklyn's mate."

Brooklyn and Sil could hardly believe what they heard her say.

"Katana, do you realize what you're saying?" Brooklyn asked in alarm.

"Yes, I do, Brooklyn-san. I want to go where you go and be your balance, your love. I want us to have a life together no matter where our travels take us." Katana smiled at him.

Sil was happy for them. She would be his new 'mom.'

The clan was overly happy for them. Then they all got into a party mode to where they were going to have Brooklyn and Katana have a real formal Japanese wedding. Sil wanted to be involved too. He kept Fu-dog close.

Yoshi said that Sil could be Brook's Best Man.

The males took Brooklyn and Sil to a section of the temple to be bathed and dressed appropriately for the groom and best man. Fu came too. Brooklyn's hair was untangled and cut in some places due to so many tangles. It was silky smooth when it was done. Sil's hair was also managed to make it look nice too. Brook wore a simple male's tuxedo kimono and black and white striped kilt. Sil too wore a black and white kimono.
