Part 33: Time Skip Arounds

Brooklyn, Sil, Katana, and Fu-dog went on many adventures over the next few years. Sil still did his best to keep count on his scroll where and when they went.

They even went back to Egypt again where even Katana and Fu-dog got to meet Meryt, Harthoth as a human, and Isfet. Katana wasn't too taken with Meryt as the two females argued over Brooklyn because they both loved him. Brooklyn had to reveal what was done in the past that they had been in love, but it wasn't to be.

Sil tried to stay on Katana's good side. He didn't like being mad at. But he backed up Brooklyn's story.

But there were many adventures elsewhere too.

Eventually, when both Katana and Brooklyn were fifty years old, Katana went into heat for the first time and that was when the couple went off together for a night to do their business. Sil and Fu stayed behind at a camp again. Sil had come to accept that the couple wanted to spend time together.

When they returned, Katana was no longer in heat. They had their fun and now it was back to business.

Some time later, in a dance that took place in France, a war was going on and they were helping a female named Etolie. She and her clan's eggs had to be gotten out of Paris. She was the last of her clan other than the eggs.

Brooklyn, Sil, Katana, and Fu-dog all helped Etolie do their best to help her get her clan's eggs to safety. The humans of Paris were wanting to wipe out the gargoyles of Paris. At least with all four of them helping Etolie, they got to some gypsies that helped them even more to help them all get out of France. They were heading for England. These eggs would one day give rise to the clan of London. The gargoyles in England took them in reluctantly.

But by the end of the dance, Katana asked if Brooklyn liked kids. He said that he had grown to like them very much on this particular dance.

"We're now time dancing for five." Katana stated.

"Really?" Brooklyn asked.

"Yes."

"That's great!" Brooklyn embraced her and kissed her.

"What's going on?" Sil asked.

"Sil, we're going to be parents." Brooklyn told the Skeksis.

"Oh. So, you're having your own egg then?"

"Yes, we are." Katana replied.

"Is it going to join this clan too?" Sil asked.

"No. Our egg is going to travel with us. I hope we can return to my clan to give it a proper home and safety." Brooklyn declared. "But no matter what happens, we will all stay together, and when the egg has been born, Sil, we will still need your help to look after it. It takes eggs of our kind ten years to incubate."

"But how soon will it be born?" Sil asked.

"Five months." Katana replied to him.

"Okay." Sil answered. He was a little shocked at this news was all. He would need time to let the news sink in that he would be like a big brother to this egg.

Katana had figured out she was pregnant with Brooklyn's child because she had been in heat a month ago by the Gate's standards and they had mated. And while on this dance there had been times that she felt moody, and her stomach didn't feel well. But they now had their answer.

There was a new being that would one day join their travels in person.

They all stayed in England just long enough to witness the hatching of the eggs. Brooklyn recognized a hatchling that might have been Griff's ancestor.
