Hyunjin had just arrived. He's there not even five minutes ago yet, he's already facing the same scene. He just got there, but he's already seeing Felix cry over the same story that he kept on telling him to just skip over to an end.
Same old thing, and Hyunjin's had enough.
Unable to contain himself anymore, the taller sprung up from his seat, and with a few strides, closed the distance between a crying Felix and his stupid boyfriend who had nothing better to do than hurt him. Honestly, he should've told that guy to fuck off long ago, and he would've if Felix just wasn't so important to him. He did what he could, sat still and watched, keeping himself from interfering in his friend’s relationship, but Hyunjin's just about done with it. He'd never been the supportive friend Felix thought he was when it came to the said man's relationship anyway, he just knew how to keep things to himself and shut his goddamn mouth.
It's the third time that Felix was shedding tears that day, and he's not just about to watch as it dried on their own once again.
He knew all six of their friends were confused by his actions, but none of them said a thing, and they were all looking at him as if secretly cheering him on, so Hyunjin took that as an ammo to just shoot his shot.
Without much thinking, Hyunjin turned Felix around and pressed gentle lips on his eyes, literally kissing the tears away, forcing himself to ignore the bitterness that settled in his chest from the taste of Felix's tears.
The gesture was enough to make the boy stop crying, but now Hyunjin was a little worried because his best friend was staring at him wide-eyed, motionless.
He didn't let that stop him though as he held Felix's shoulders firmly, making sure his best friend finally had his eyes on him this time. “I've had enough of this. I've had enough of seeing this asshole make you cry over and over again, and I've had enough of seeing you let him.”
Felix blinked up to him through wet lashes, probably unknowing of what to say, and the taller took advantage.
“I'm tired of you repeatedly hurting yourself,” Hyunjin carried on. “And I'm so fucking tired of you not seeing me.”
“Hyunjin, what the fuck–”
“Shut up,” The taller glared at Felix's boyfriend, who never, in their entire relationship, had treated Felix right. This asshole should be thankful that Hyunjin hadn't knocked him out like his demons had been whispering to him every time he would see Felix cry, or this shithead wouldn't be able to recognize himself the next time he looked in a mirror. “You’ve done enough yapping.”
He looked back to Felix's still stunned face, eyes once again soft. “Choose me, Yongbok. Just give me a chance to take care of you. I'm not a perfect person, and I can't promise that I will never make you cry, but one thing is for sure,” He brushed away Felix's drying tears, smiling tenderly. “I'll love you with everything I have. I'll love you truly that if you cry, I'll do my best to make it better, and if that's not possible, I'll be crying with you.”
“Hyunnie…”
“I'm not in a rush,” Hyunjin pressed a kiss on Felix's forehead, seeing the other's eyes flutter close before he moved away. “I just want you to know that I'm here, so don't be afraid to make choices for yourself, I just want you to be happy.”
He wanted Felix to know that there's Hyunjin too. He had a choice, and his boyfriend wasn't the only one who could love him. Felix could choose to walk away from that pain, and come to him. It didn't matter if Felix didn't love him the same, he just had to let Hyunjin love him.
And with that, Hyunjin left, leaving the decision in Felix's hands to either break or take his fragile heart.
