Blizzard Within Peaceful Days
Unwillingly listening to a storyteller inside of a restaurant is the person in the fabled. He is normally shameless but as he listening to his experience as a story to tell, he felt embarrassed. Of course, he will be. Whoever the source is actually having a blast of adding spices on the dish, even the parts which supposedly behind close door were fill-in by their imagination. Who will think that the source has variety of imagination, saying like; Hanguang Jun embraced the Radiant Sun Lord.
This part probably rooted to the fact that his and Lan Wangji's marriage were announced to whole cultivation world.
With that out, stories about his achievements together with Lan Wangji gets an additional scene such him and Lan Wangji embracing, kissing—any fantasy which maidens will enjoy hearing.
Thankfully, he and Lan Wangji ain't alone; one time he crossed a storyteller reciting a story about his sect sister, Tiao Reinshun and his sect brother, Xingxiu Xuanyu during their time at Wangxian Valley, in the story they are intimate like a romantic couple; Wei Wuxian can say how this fantasy have created, as indeed, those two are really close but not intimate to be mistaken as a couple, but the imagination of people are something to be fear at, especially if you are the target.
Wei Wuxian only grins.
Unlike them, their other siblings have normal stories, there's no one involve with them romantically.
Wei Wuxian shook his head in disbelief. Woman with man, or man with another man, once people see you in different light, fantasy would come to life.
Oh, with all honesty, Wei Wuxian doesn't dislike it.
Listening to this kind of fable could give him an idea of what he can do with his lover the next time they see each other.
Wei Wuxian put the cup of tea on his mouth, remembering the last time he's with Lan Wangji. It's been six months since they finished the job in Xu Xuan Town, and since the ending of the case, there's no chances to meet; Wei Wuxian misses him so much; but he could only pout.
He put his cup down and holds his head, suddenly feeling dizzy and weak, he cursed quietly.
'What's going on? My head is hurting!' he started feeling hot. 'This is... I am having a fever all of the sudden?' his eyes then fell at the teacup he uses. 'It couldn't be... right?'
Recently, a rumor spread throughout the cultivation world; it is about a particular herb that has been booming at the dark market. This herb could make a cultivator weak, raises temperature like having a fever, dizziness and soon collapsing. But what scary about this herb is that it could hurt a cultivator's precious spiritual core!
Lan Wangji has become victim of this herb before during their study at Cloud Recesses.
The Heixin.
Fortunately, even though the herb could really hurt or worst melted spiritual core, Lan Wangji was treated immediately that the Heixin not able to reach his core.
That being said, Wei Wuxian could tell that he is not as fortunate as his lover.
Wei Wuxian collapses at his table, his body felt weak and hot, still he is fighting it to stay awake, keeping his eyes opens, only to sees three people stands before him.
He couldn't help but muttered a single word, "Fuck..." and darkness finally consumed him.
