Scott PoV:

There is nothing I dread more than trudging through this forest. Especially at night, and especially in the rain. I don't even care so much about the papers in my bag getting wet; all I care about is getting out of here in one piece. This forest is known to have dozens of creatures residing in it, who are more than capable of tearing a human, (or anything else,) to literal shreds. I suppose I'm not really helping my feeling of unease, thinking of all the terrible things that lurk here. But, I can't help it. A clap of thunder causes me to jump, nearly dropping my lantern. The little light it provides is essential, so the last thing I need is for it to go out. I think I hear something behind me, but it's probably just me scaring myself more. I take a deep breath, willing myself forward. No, I definitely hear something. How do I react? If I run, I might aggravate it. Standing still is probably a death sentence as well. What the HELL do I do...?!

"Hello, Love~" A raspy voice whispers. Oh god, what is this thing? Do I dare even turn around? I don't really have a choice, and despite my fear, I'm curious. I turn slowly, holding my lantern high. "Wh-Who are you?" I stammer. I feel a strong grip on my lantern, and it's torn from my grasp. 'shit,' I think, 'I'm so stupid, confronting something when I don't even know what's there!' The light from my lantern illuminates the creature's face, and I find it to be completely human. Well, no, not completely; The eyes are blank white, and the skin is a shocking shade of purple. "Y-You're human...?" I whisper. It laughs at me. "Please, if I were human, I'd be dead. Much like you might be very soon." It was worth a shot, but he's probably right; no human would last in here. "Wh-What are you, then?" I ask, my voice shaking a bit. "Give me a minute, and then I'll tell you." As soon as he finishes, I feel something wrap tightly around me, practically squeezing the life out of me. "Now that you can't get away, you can see what I am." He moves the lantern downwards, and what I see is a scaly, purple snake's tail. "I'm a Naga, human, and you've been dumb enough to let me capture you." A Naga?! Well, the people back home may as well begin my obituary, because I'm probably DEAD. "A-Are you going to k-kill me?" I question. "Hm, we'll see..." Not a good answer!! I start struggling like mad, hoping against hope that there's a way out of this. "I'm too strong for you, human. Oh and, don't do that; makes me feel weird." (Naga tails are similar to a man's... y'know...)

Whatever that means. "C'mon, let's get out of the rain." The Naga smashes my lantern, and turns in the opposite direction. What have I gotten myself into...?! I do this all the time, and now it's most likely going to be the reason I die. He sure did enjoy how scared I was... how scared I still am. "Ah, here we are," the Naga says, as we approach a cave. It's shelter from the rain, at least. A flash of lightning causes me to jump, and he laughs. "Just a bit scared, eh?" I sigh exasperatedly and nod, as we enter the cave. "I never asked you name, did I?" he asks. "My name's S-Scott," i reply. Damn it, the stuttering is not helping me at all. "Well, I'm Vincent. I won't eat you, provided you don't try to escape me. But there will be no going back to your 'village'. This cave, and this forest, are places you will now call home." My eyes widen. "But the message I was supposed to d-deliver-" All Vincent does is shake his head. "It doesn't matter anymore, now does it?" he asks in a commanding tone. "I-" he lifts my chin, one of his claws digging into my skin. "Does it?" he repeats. "No," I say, wincing as he draws blood. "Good," Vince says, smirking. I've really done it this time...

*Hello! I hope you enjoyed this first part. I also hope you're patient, because there might be gaps in between chapters, with how busy I've been recently. Anyways, just watch for the next part! ^u^*
