Zero POV

Los Angeles, California
January 28th
Saturday, 9:38 P.M.

After i gave birth, i swore I was so exhausted. But seeing the baby and holding her gave me so much energy.

When everyone else left and it was just me and Dayvon, the nurse came back to teach us how to wash her and change her diaper. And of course to check on me.

"I'm scared to even look in the mirror." I shook my head as Dayvon helped me stand up.

"You look good ma." Dayvon said leading me to the bathroom and turning the light on for me and I looked at myself in the mirror. Immediately disgusted with what I saw. Which is...definitely a first for me. I don't remember ever being insecure in my life. This is the first time I'm really not feeling it.

"Bro." I said putting my hand over my face and Dayvon stood behind me.

"What's wrongggg?" He said.

"I do not look good right now." I said shaking my head and moving my braids out of my face.

"Is you serious Zero? You look beautiful ma. You always do." Dayvon said wrapping his arms around me. And I am thankful for him believe me.

And that normally would make me feel better, but when you yourself genuinely don't feel pretty. No one can MAKE you feel pretty.

"If you say so." I said reaching over turning on the shower and he just looked at me which made me feel more sub conscious so I got out of the mirror. I'll just try to steer clear away from her until tomorrow or something. Maybe I'll be feeling more like myself by then.

We made sure Empress was asleep and me and Dayvon got in the shower. I COULD NOT WAIT FOR MY SHOWER. I felt so filthy after birth. I changed into some more comfortable clothes and when we came out I saw Empress still peacefully sleeping where Dayvon last laid her down.

I stood over her just watching and admiring her. Trying to wrap my brain around the fact that this is MY baby.

"You did a good job ma." Dayvon said looking at her with me.

"Thank you." I said. Dayvon stepped closer to me and his arm around me.

"I love you." Dayvon said and I felt his eyes on me and I looked at him.

"I love you." I said and Dayvon backed me up onto the bed.

"You tired?" I asked climbing on the bed getting comfortable but making room for Dayvon.

"Nah." Dayvon said turning off the light in the room. He softly pushed the car with Empress in it closer to the bed by us and got on the bed with me and I put the cover over him leaning on my arm.

"You gone take ha back to yo house?" Dayvon asked.

"I didn't think about it." I said.

"Come home wit me ma." He said and I deeply sighed looking up.

"Is that a crazy ass request? You comin home wit our baby?" He said.

"I cannot stand you Dayvon. But I love you so much. I don't wanna be stuck in the house with you and you keep doing this weird shit to me Dayvon. I literally cannot take it." I said sitting up putting my hands over my face and he sat up too.

"Wait wait dont cry ma. Don't cry. Let's talk. Can we talk?" Dayvon said facing me holding my hands and I took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry Zero. Tell me how you feelin." He said.
