As I stepped off the elevator in Zero's apartment. I took ha key out of my pocket. She got me dropping off ha food cause she in here wit Empress.

I put the key in the door twisting it open. As I took my first step in I tripped over something and almost fell but caught myself. I looked down seeing it was a pair of my shoes I left.

"Shhh Von." Zero quickly shushed me and I looked up seeing her rocking sleeping Empress while she was pacing around the couch.

"I tell you every time not to put your shoes by the door." She whispered shaking her head.

"How is that helpin?" I said quietly closing the door and lockin it.

"I wasn't tryna help. Put my food down." She said going off to Empress's room to lay her down. I went to the counter putting the bag down starting to take the food out. While i was gettin ha food I just decided to see get myself some food too.

"Oh uh uh whatchu doing? Who said I was sharing?" She said looking me up and down.

"I got my own food fat ass. I know how you like to get bout some food." I said pushing the bag to her and she laughed.

"Your daughter is real slick." She pointed at me.

"What she do?" I laughed sitting down at the counter as Zero turned to the cabinets to get us both some plates.

"She knows how to sit up. And she's acting like she doesn't. I was tryna get her to sit up but she just kept falling back. So I was like, damn lemme stop i dont wanna hurt her. I let her lay and go in the next room to get my phone. I peaked around the corner at her. And this girl was sat the fuck up. Looking around." She said making me laugh.

"She's just like you. Sneaky." She said side eyeing me sitting a plate down in front of me.

"Now why that gotta come from me. That shit come from you." I shook my head.

"How yo tattoo healin?" I asked.

"Itchy. I don't see how you have so many." She said looking at my arms.

"I was gone get 2 mo. On the back of neck and my shoulder." I said watching ha eyes go all over my tattoos.

"Of what?" She asked.

"Yo name on the back of my neck. And Empress name on my shoulder." I said.

"Aw. You wanna get my name tatted? Why was Ari telling me the other day to get your name tatted. Her weird ass." She rolled her eyes.

"Why not? You already gone be stuck wit me forever." I said.

"That doesn't sound as cute as you think Dayvon." I said making him laugh.

"When you gettin yo hair done? You still ain't tell me whatchu gettin or nun." I said.

"Because it's supposed to be a surprise. For our date...tonight. Did you remember?" She asked only moving ha eyes to look at me. If she knew how that's been the only thing on my mind since I asked her she wouldn't even ask me that.
