I take a sip from the pouch offered to me, doing my best not to down the whole thing. "Oh man, thanks." I hand the pouch back, wiping the corner of my mouth. "You know I've done some travelling in my time, but not like you that's for sure."

Katara took the pouch back, clipping it onto her waist. "Where all have you been?" She asked.

"Mm... Northern tribe, Ba Sing Se... It—its a lot I don't super remember to be honest."

"What about the war and the Fire Nation?"

"I actually partly stopped travelling for that reason. Honestly I wouldn't even have met you guys if it weren't for this huge thing I got offered in Ba Sing Se."

"Catch up you two, we're not getting any younger here!" Sokka yelled at us. Katara rolled her eyes, jogging to catch up with her brother.

I followed her, at a slower pace, falling in line with Toph. Something about her bothered me.

"You look... Familiar," I began.

"Gee I wonder what that's like," she muttered. It seemed like she was making a joke, I hoped.

"Okay this is like, a huge leap, are you from Gaoling by any chance?" I asked, I was born there and repeatedly went back for visits.

"Yeah, what's it to you?" She responded. I looked closer at her outfit, glancing up and down.

"Oh my gosh! You're um, you—you're the Blind Bandit! No way!" I stopped as I made the revelation, but she didn't seem to care, walking along after her friends like it wasn't the coolest thing ever. I followed after her, gushing. "I've seen like, probably only a dozen of your fights I don't go back to Gaoling that often but your fights are so crazy I mean, that—that time you fought Mountain Man and you beat him so bad he retired from embarrassment. This is crazy I can't believe I'm actually meeting you."

Toph just sighed in relief, like she was expecting something completely different. She beamed as I continue raving about her triumphs, walking along to the bay with her friends.

By the time we got there I had calmed down a bit, mostly just internally gushing at the fact, but allowing Toph her space. I had been on the other side of that interaction too many times to keep pushing her.

"There's something you should know about me, I'm um... Well I'm a bit famous myself..."

Toph chuckled. "What, you're like a well known groupie or something?"

"No more like—" as we approached the docks the uproar began once people noticed me "—a famous singer."

It was disheartening to see so many people torn from their homes, everyone covered in dirt and ash, exhaustion under their eyes from weeks, possibly even months of travelling. Part of me felt guilty, I wasn't here for refuge, I hadn't lost as much as these people.

I signed as much as I could, meandering through the crowds of people. I wasn't expecting Toph and her friends to still be here, they had things to do; but they were. As I got out of the crowds I found them talking to one of the guards, a friend of theirs I assume from how they interacted.

"I thought you guys would've left already," I said to Toph as I walked over.

"It was a long line." She paused. "So, famous, huh?"

"Yeah," I sigh, "I was invited to perform for the King." I glance back at the crowds of refugees. "I feel bad, being here for that and they're... Not." I looked back at Toph, changing the subject. "Anyway, you guys are always welcome to the concert if you ever want to come, I'll make sure of it."

"I'll take you up on that offer."
