Tyra's POV

All I wanted was to be alone for a little while. I was already stressed out from this whole "being tiny" thing and shrinking even more. Kay said she went through the same kind of thing when she first shrunk and that I should spend some time alone. I never wanted to put myself in danger.

I was just sitting on a shelf, and apparently no one could see me. Of course being on the shelf was really dangerous, but I was tired of being intimidated by everything. Being higher off the ground felt a little more normal to me.

Hearing voices below me, I crept to the edge and peeked at the ground. Kay and some other hybrid about her height were having a conversation. Where'd she come from?

I leaned down a bit more, barely making out what they were saying. That was my mistake, and gravity took it's toll.
