I roll onto my side to check my phone for the time, the bright light shocks me as I see it's only 4 am. I sigh and get up to shut my door when I see the light downstairs had been left on.

As I reach the bottom of the stairs, I see the living room light is on too, I sigh and walk in. To my surprise Corey and Sid are still awake, Corey with his head in his hands and Sid looking lost for words.

"Hey," Sid says quietly to me,

"Hey," Corey looks up as I say this, his eyes are slightly reddened. I look towards Sid, he gives me a helpless look and I sit down.

"Why are you up?" Corey asks me, with a sad tone to his voice,

"Can't sleep," I mumble, I realise I should probably just go back upstairs and leave him, but as I get up I feel a tug on my shirt,

"Don't go," Sid mouths with a worried look in his eye. I sigh and nod, and sit back down next to Sid, opposite Corey.

"What's wrong?" I ask him, he looks at me for a couple of seconds but shakes his head and returns to his original position with his head in his hands again. I sigh and lean back in my seat, I don't know why I expected him to reply to someone he'd only met that day, but it was worth a try for Sid's sake. We sit in silence for a bit, being around someone sad only makes me sad, so it wasn't ideal situation to be in at 4am. I begin to stand up to leave despite Sid's pleads for me to stay,

"You should go back to sleep," Corey mumbles, not looking up.

"And you should go to sleep," I reply, he just sighs and stands up to face me. I look up to meet his eyes and we stay like that for what seemed like hours, but only seconds had passed. I slowly back away to walk out the room, leaving Corey still standing and Sid looking helpless again.

I wake up to the sun blaring through my window, I sigh heavily and go to walk downstairs. I'm faced with the horrible stench of pizza from the night before and the sight of Corey passed out on the sofa. I clean up the living room a little, trying to be as silent as possible so I don't wake him up. This is successful until Sid walks in,

"Hey, morning Autumn!" he almost yells, I shush him and his eyes widen as he realises Corey is asleep. I laugh slightly and we walk out quickly and go to the kitchen. Minutes later Corey walks in, rubbing his eyes and leaning against the door frame,

"Hey," he mumbles, I smile at him,

"Hi," I say, turning round to make breakfast. Sid and Corey begin to engage in some small talk as I carry on with what I'm doing.

"You feeling better after last night?" I hear Sid ask Corey,
"Yeah, I guess it was just one of those nights," he says a little quietly. I begin to ignore what they're saying and focus on what I'm doing.

*(couple of hours later)*

I look towards the window to see its pouring down with rain, I sigh and continue watching tv with Corey and Sid,

"...Autumn?" I hear my name and turn round to see Sid raising an eyebrow at me and Corey looking amused,

"Sorry, what?" I laugh slightly as I must have not noticed Sid trying to talk to me.

"I said we're going out, do you want to come?"

"Uhh, I don't know," I mumble,

"C'mon it'll be fun!" Sid says,

"Okay, fine," I roll my eyes and follow them both out of the room, having no idea where we're going.
