Chapter Two: What Is Going On...Someone Please Tell Me

I Woke up Saturday morning in Sodapop's bedroom and saw him sleeping beside me with  his arm wrapped around me. All of the sudden I heard the door start to open, immediately Soda jolted up awake. I was praying that it was just Ponyboy and not Darry. But to my surprise it was the devil herself Sandy. She stared at us, her eyes open with shock. Then she screamed "TAMMY GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE." I walked out of the room shocked with the look of horror in my face. I walked into the living room and sat down with the gang I was wearing one of Soda's white T-shirts, it looked really big on me and everyone in the room gave me a strange look. For the next few minutes they all sat in silence until Darry finally piped up and said "Not to be rude but when did you get here and how long have you been here." In reply I said that I had been there the whole night which was the truth I didn't want to tell him what really happened unless he already knew or found out. Then Dally said "So what were my ex-girlfriend and my old pal doin in there huh." So in reply I said "Nothing that is of your concern." Yes it's true I did used to date Dally and it got pretty serious until he started to cheat on me with that girl Sylvia who gladly returned the favor to him when he was in the cooler. Then after my vague answer they all started to whoop and cheer, apparently I sad too much.

Soda's P.O.V.

The first thing I saw upon waking up was Sandy barge through the door and Tammy with a horrified expression on her face. Man was Tammy beautiful, I absolutely loved her as more than a friend but I just didn't think it would work out and that it would ruin our friendship if anything happened and I fell in love with Sandy, I was even goin to ask her to marry me when she got outta school. But back to reality. Sandy Screamed at Tammy "TAMMY GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE." Man was I in a tight situation, I just cheated on my girlfriend with my best friend but I wasn't going to let Sandy yell at Tammy like that. Well after Tammy was yelled at by Sandy she beat it out of the room as fast  as she could. That's when I spoke up and said "Sandy that didn't mean anything Tammy is my best friend and things just happen in the heat of the moment-". She cut me off and said "Soda listen to me I forgive you I did the same thing and that's what I came here to tell you, Sodapop I cheated on you with my ex-boyfriend, and I am pregnant and moving in with my grandmother in Florida, I am sorry and I love you." "Sandy", I spoke up "Sandy I don't care I forgive you, I love you too, will you marry me" Sandy then said the words that broke my heart, she just shattered it into a million pieces. "Sodapop listen." she began "I can't marry you my parents won't let me" Then I began to get aggravated and said as I raised my voice. "Sandy if you really loved me you wouldn't let your parents decide whether you marry me or not." Then she said the last word she ever said to me. "Sodapop I am sorry I don't really love you I was just telling you this to make you feel loved and like I really cared about you, goodbye." "FINE" I screamed back at her "THEN GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE." She just gave me a quick glance and ran out, at that moment my heart broke into a million pieces you could probably hear it crack from a mile away. Then I walked out of my bedroom I bet within a couple minutes the gang could cheer me up

Tammy's P.O.V.

I saw Soda walk out of his bedroom, his eyes were red and he had tears in them, seeing him like this broke my heart. So I walked up to him and asked him if he was ok, he said that he was fine. Within minutes everyone was happy smiling and back to normal. Then Soda walked up to me and said "Tammy what are you doing tonight?" I replied with "Nothing what about you?" He said "Nothing I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out together, just the two of us, like old times. Because we haven't been spending a lot of time together since I started seeing Sandy." I said "Sure I would really like that." A huge grin grew on Soda's face and he said "Great I will pick you up at 7." I said by goodbyes and walked out of the door, I had a date with Soda tonight, well that's how I saw it and I just knew it would end that way.
