You wait.

Hasn't it been long enough? You ask yourself, your mind beginning to wander. You step out onto a branch of curiosity and your imagination takes hold. Was he killed? Did... did his team catch him? You sigh as you sit on the crate, waiting for the BLU Spy there. You cast your eyes up to the full moon, the second one this month. Blue moon... You close your eyes and send up a small prayer of hope. As if being answered right then and there, a voice cuts through the chilling night.

"Bonjour, mon cheri."  Comes his soothing voice.

You sigh in relief.

"I thought maybe you'd gotten killed." You tell him, opening your eyes and looking over your shoulder at him. Well, where you thought he was. He shimmers into view and walks over to you, putting his hands on your shoulders and sliding them down your chest so his hands rest on your abdomen and his arms are safely around you. You smile and lean on him after a small shudder of surprise.

Here, with him, you feel comforted, secure. You feel like nothing in the world can harm you. You feel joyous, so joyous that you want to sing it out loud.

Here, with him, you feel loved unconditionally.

"You were late." You say after a while of nothing but the chirping crickets in the night.

"I was held up. My team was still awake." He says, sounding almost genuine, but having a hint of untruthfulness behind it.

"Are you sure? That wasn't very convincing."

"Do you not trust me, amour?"

"You know I do, I'm just worried about you."

He kisses your cheek. You feel your face become hot.

"I can handle myself, cheri." He assures you.

"Do you love me?" You venture.

"You know I do."

Suddenly, you feel a prick in your neck.

What the hell?

You black out.

"...should be fine. It wasn't hard, it just took a while."

That's the first thing you hear when your consciousness comes back.
