bACK AT IT AGAIN
(without the white vans)

Scout, of course is the first to notice. You keep your wings folded tightly to your back as he shouts your name. Medic looks up and is the first to get to you. You step back as he tries to look you over to avoid him seeing your wings, but it's too late.
"Shiße!" He shouts, moving back. "What happened to you? What did they do to you?"
You unfurl the wings a bit, feeling the tears well in your eyes. "I don't know." You admit. "I..." you don't want to tell them that you were seeing the enemy Spy. You still loved him, after all, even if he betrayed you. "I was out one night for some air and the BLU Spy captured me." You pause to let a short sob escape you. "I woke up in their base and..." you can't seem to get the words out before your knees give and you fall to the ground, your heart tightening. Your shoulders shake as your chest is racked with frightened sobs. Gentle pairs of hands hold you, and someone rests their head on top of you. Whoever it was, you lurch out and throw your arms around them, letting your tears soak their chest. You pick up the clean, brisk smell of a hospital undermined by Geoffrey Beene's Grey Flannel, and you know you're watering down Medic's coat. The other hands on your body rub your back and wings in a comforting manner.
Medic gently presses his lips to the top of your head and rests there for a few moments. The gesture warms your heart, and you bring your face into his neck, taking in the now stronger smell of the cologne. His hand rests on the back of your head. You can hear his heartbeat on his neck and listen to it, your body becoming still as you calm down and forget your troubles.
It's beyond you, honestly. You don't know how something like his heartbeat could stop your fear, but you accept it. It's only then that you realize how tired you have become.
"Do not worry," the man mumbles. "We won't think less of you."
You nod into him slowly, believing him.
"We should go back in the base," Sniper suggests, after which you are picked up and carried in. Medic tells Heavy to put you on the couch, and then puts a blanket over you. You listen as he quietly tells you to get some rest- you've had a long day. You oblige and gently fall into sleep's embrace.
