You knew it was crazy. Completely crazy. But you couldn't help it, you knew somewhere deep inside that you were meant to be.

You've been in more relationships than you can count on your fingers. You're not proud of it, but at least you still had your virginity. Most of your friends aren't married and they have children.

You knew it was against the rules—your team had given you that lecture more than once. But your heart was telling you to against your team, just to be with him.

You, the RED Team outcast, were in love with the BLU Team Engineer.

You feel a tap on your shoulder and turn around, seeing Medic.

"Are you ready to go?" He asks you, referring to the annual meeting that Saxton Hale had with each of the teams in person. You take a deep breath and straighten your collar.

"Ready as I'll ever be." You reply, looking at him. He smiles and pats your shoulder.

"Good." You two were the only ones left in the base. All the other team members were waiting for you outside, in the Land Rover. Medic put his arm around your shoulders, and you let him lead you back out to the car. Once you were both in, your chauffeur, Mr. Bidwell, started the rover and drove off without a sound. You were sitting in the front, everyone else was in the back. You cross your arms over your chest.

"Something wrong?" Sniper asks, leaning up toward you.

"I'm uh... cold." You reply, looking out the window.

"Mm-hmm. You nervous?"

"How'd you know?" You venture half-heartedly.

"It's your first time. Who wouldn't be?"

You lay your head on the window with a sigh. "I bet you weren't."

"You clearly don't know me all that well." He chuckles a bit. "I was shaking worse than a leaf in a blizzard."

You smile a bit. "Thanks for trying, Sniper." You thought you could feel his disappointment.

"No problem, mate..." Sniper sounds crestfallen as he says this. You shut your eyes and let your head bump against the window with the movements of the car.

Before you know it, you're there.

"Good luck." Bidwell tells you as you step out of the car. You smile at him and put your hands in your pockets, closing the door with your foot. You take a deep breath and look to Medic. He gives you a sympathetic look and goes in with the rest of the team. You follow Scout, who was the last one. He looks back at you.

"You alright?" He ventures.

"Tired." You reply.

"A'ight, whatever you say."

You are told to sit down, and do so, as you see cameras with barrels on them. Gun barrels. Ready to shoot. You run your fingers through your hair and let out a breath that you didn't know you were holding. Medic nudges you. You look over.

"You're going to be fine." He assures you. You look over at Spy.

"Any tips for me?" You try.

"Only speak when spoken to and you will probably not get killed." He tells you. "These meeting are—no, can be—more dangerous than battles with the BLU."

"That's reassuriung." You comment glumly as the door opens and BLU is ushered in.

Then, you see him.

The BLU Engineer.
