"What do you mean 'rose color matters?'" I questioned, confused. I was sitting at a table in Music Room #3 with the members surrounding me, excluding Tamaki and Haruhi.

"The ladies associate a rose color with us, and it is always set at that Host's table. Originally, it wasn't a big deal, but once the girls began choosing it for us based on our personalities, we made it symbolic of the Host Club," Kyoya explained to me, setting a list of rose colors in front of me.

I asked, "How come I can't just wait until the costumers choose for me?"

"It looks nicer to have all the tables decorated with flowers," the twins shrugged.

"But we don't want to repeat colors, so you'll have to stay away from those," Kyoya informed me.

"What colors would those be?"

"Mine is light blue," Hikaru said.

"My rose is orange," Kaoru spoke next.

Honey smiled, "Mine's pink!"

Mori uttered two words, "Dark blue."

Kyoya finished, "Mine is lavender, Tamaki's is white, and we chose Haruhi's as red."

I sighed, "So, you took all the well-known ones?"

He assured me, "There are plenty of others to pick from, Katashi."

I took a list at the long list of rose colors and meanings in front of me, and I saw the roses already mentioned were crossed out with red pen. It's going to take a while to look at all these, and it seems like they want me to pick quickly, I fretted. I hesitated, "Well... what about jaune? Oh, uh, I meant yellow."

"Doesn't that mean jealousy?" the twins asked.

"I'm not sure if I could make a selling point out of that."

I defended, "It means jealously in Eastern culture, but it means promise of new beginnings, friendship, and that you care in the West. You said I'd be there mostly to be a friend and someone to talk to about anything and everything. I think that fits."

Honey agreed, "And she is from France!"

Kyoya considered it, "That is true. Tamaki, what do you think about Katashi's rose being yellow?" We all looked over at him, but he was sitting in a chair staring off into space with a really dreamy expression.

I walked over with the others as Honey said, "He must be having a great dream."

"He does have a vast imagination. He gets stuck there sometimes," I sighed, crossing my arms.
