Silence ensued. Nothing sounded, no one screamed. Everyone just... Glanced at each other warily.

"What?" Mikami questioned out loud, glancing around. "No one... No one died?"

"May I have that notebook?" Asked Near, who's task force member then confiscated it and brought it to him. With a confident smirk, Near flipped through the pages, but it soon faltered. "Why did you write everyone's names, and set a time?"

"My God left a message, giving me a list of names and times to write down. Told me to be here, with the book, but for some reason it isn't working!"

"That's because it's a fake," Baffled, Near commented. "I made a copy of the Death Note and replaced Mikami's... But Kira shouldn't have figured this out."

Light, confused as to what was happening, glanced at you. You looked at him, and couldn't help but smirk slightly, then mask it with confusion as you nudged L, "What's happening?"

"Kira knows us all, but killed no one-" Interrupting L was the pain filled cries of Mikami, who clutched his chest. He yelled, screamed and cried, but was unable to form words or focus. The only one who knew the truth had died, leaving behind not a single clue as to who Kira was.

Light asked that the task force members double check his pockets, to find any clues. There was nothing to be found, not a trace of Kira in existance. Everyone was baffled as to what Kira's plans could have possibly been in that moment, as everyone stood there in confusion.

"I'm outta here," Muttered Mello, who quickly left the room. As usual, he couldn't stand to be around Near, but looked somewhat pleased that he had made a fool of himself in front of L, which could eventually help him in becoming L's true successor... He just had to come up with a plan that would work and make him look good.

Once everyone was checked over, Near apologised to L repeatedly. The younger, albino version of the great detective felt shame, but L told him it was a good effort and plan, and that Kira had portrayed suspicious behaviour which may one day help with the investigation. It made him lower his suspicions of Light by 1.3% as well.

The event was called off, and everyone sent home. L had to fill out a report on the situation, so it was just Light and yourself to head home.

"How did you figure out his plan, then?" Asked Light, raising a curious eyebrow as he added, "And why wasn't I informed?"

"It'd be more believable if you were shocked as well," Was all you replied with a shrug.

Slightly, he chuckled. It didn't surprise him in the slightest, though he had to ask, "Why didn't you just kill them all if you know their names?"

"Because this is your fight, Light. I told you; if Kira wins, it's due to your effort. I'm not helping you, I'm just bored and so participating in making this all interesting..." That said, you couldn't help but look out of the window, a small smile growing on your face, "Besides, I've come to like my arrangement. I'm winning, so clearly my intelligence is the best, am I right?"

"I suppose you're right."

That's right, you were a second Kira... You just loved to cause trouble, and so kept throwing obstacles at the two boys- L and Light. Be it the hostage situation, the carnival, the theme park or the events of today, you just loved to cause trouble with them both... Especially that time Light irked you, and so you killed him with the Death Note- only as a warning, however, as you used the Death Eraser to bring him back.

Wammy's used to torture you, but you didn't remember much now about it. L was your roommate, that much you were sure of, until he left anyway. It was also the place you got your Death Note, as Ryuk, a shinigami, pitied your five year old self and so decided to help you out. Now it was a blur, but you remembered that you killed the past 'carers' that you had. Not with the Death Note either, but with your hands and a piece of a beaker.

Watari had the place closed down after that, since he had no idea it existed until that incident. After that he took to looking after you (kind of). He even asked you to help him with the Kira case when you were fifteen, not that you wanted to. Ever since you escape that facility, you hated society and rules and simple-minded beings. You especially hated being bored. Due to this, you ended up being a bit of a delinquent, though no one but Light knew this.

Easily, once in the Kanto region, you found L. That quickly lead to you finding Light, and even faster to learn that he was Kira.

The front door opened, and in walked L. You smiled brightly, greeting him, "Welcome back, my sweet gummy bear."

L leaned down and hugged you, before he gently kissed you and smiled, "Thank you, cuteness." He sat down, resting his arm behind you on the sofa. His stomach grumbled.

"I'll make some food. Want to stay for dinner, Light?"

"Yeah, please," Smiled Light, a hint if relief in his eyes. You could tell he was also pleased things worked out this way...

Once in the kitchen, you grabbed the ingredients you needed and looked at L and Light, who were calmly laughing and talking away. There they were, safe and alive... Your two puppets; your toys for entertainment.
