Chapter 6

Hello my faithful readers! I am doing a full re-write of this story. Please forgive me if you read all the chapters already D: My good friend pointed out a major flaw. If I don't fix it right now, I can't continue this story. Therefore, I am fixing it right now by doing a full re-write. Major plot points will be the same, and a lot of scenes will be elaborated and added. If you continue this story, it will not make sense at all. So, start from the very beginning! XD I'm so sorry. T3T

Also, I think a lot of you already figured out that Misa Nanase is the same character from my story "Seme trapped in a Uke's Perfect Body." If you don't know what I am talking about, check out my other story. ;o

We went up the hill and found a place to stay. The hill was located about four blocks away from my house. I was a bit tired from walking, and it was getting chilly.

The moon was hiding behind the clouds, and the stars were shining bright. Still, it was too dark and quite. I couldn't really see anything. I heard Kazuo shuffling something out of his bag. He took out a flashlight and turned it on. Then, he took out a blanket and set it up on the grass, and sat down.

Kazuo: Here, so we can see each other and be comfortable. Come here and sit.

I sat down and looked at him.

Misa: Thanks. You always think ahead, Kazuo!

Kazuo: Are you cold? Here's my sweater.

He took off his sweater and handed it over to me.

Kazuo: Wear it!

I was cold so I wore it. I could feel Kazuo's warm still lingering in the sweater. I could smell his sweet scent too. He smelled so good. Even with the sweater, I was still cold.

Kazuo: Are you still cold? Come sit next to me, so you can get some of my body heat.

I was hesitant but he pulled me right next to him.

Kazuo: There! Are you feeling warm now?

Misa: Yea, thanks.

He is very warm. His body heat radiates on me.

I finally felt comfortable and gave him a gentle smile. I instantly felt bad on how unprepared I was. I was the one who invited him over, and he troubled himself to do all these things for us. He even brought snacks! I felt so ashamed. Anyway, there was no point on dwelling on it. We started eating and talking.

It was almost 12:00AM.

Kazuo: Have you figured out what you are going to wish for?

Misa: I think have something in mind. Then again, this is probably just some trickery that the old lady was trying pull. To be honest with you, I am not buying it. Like you said before, it doesn't hurt to try. I have one wish in mind, and we'll see what happens.

Kazuo: You don't want to tell me?

Misa: Nope, sorry. I guess you have to see it for yourself if it works.

It was 12:00AM.

I closed my eyes and touched the pendant.

I made my wish.

I paused for about a minute.

Misa: Did it work? Did it work?

I opened my eyes.

Kazuo: What is it? I don't see any change...What did you ask for anyway?

Misa: Crap! She made a fool out of me. It was nothing. There is no use. It was impossible in the first place. I was stupid.

Kazuo: It's okay.

Kazuo caressed my hair and tried to comfort me.

Misa: No, seriously, it's okay. At least, I have you...you're my one and only best friend.

Kazuo instantly turned red. He didn't have to be embarrassed on what I said.

Kazuo: Yea...Oh! Before I forget...HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MISA! I'm happy that I have met you. You make me smile and laugh. I just want to say that I am grateful that I am here with you.

Kazuo pulled something out of his bag.

Kazuo: This is for you. I couldn't think of anything else to give you, since you said that you have pretty much everything you wanted. So, here you go...

He placed something on my wrist. It was a bracelet with my name engraved on it.

Kazuo: If you look at the back, my name is engraved on it too.

Misa: Oh my god! This is super cute! Thanks, Kazuo...Um...that's good that you put your name on the back. If you put it in front with my name, it would look like a couple's bracelet.

I laughed hard, and Kazuo just smiled back turned away.

Kazuo: Again, happy birthday...

He gave me a warm hugged.

Kazuo: I'm happy that you were born...

His hug was getting tighter.

Misa: Yea...yea... Thanks, Kazuo...

I patted his back to signal him that it was enough. The hug was getting awkward. I didn't have a choice but to push him gently. He finally let go of me.

He walked me home, and I waved him good bye.

I sneaked back in to my house and got ready for bed.

I started thinking about my wish on how stupid it was. Why would I even ask for that?

It was late.

I was tired and quickly fell asleep.

My last thought in my mind was that I turned seventeen years old today—I'm getting older.
