The Thing With Clothes

Clothes.

Bane of my existence.

I don't even know how people can go on searching for perfect brands when all I can do is find the first item in the rack that fits me and doesn't make me look like a homeless person, or a patient of colour blindness.

I get it, some people take time for their appearance, and honestly, I would like to do that, too.

But it seems like my body shape is never every available in racks or shops. I'm a size 8, but I never get anything of that size in my length. And to think five feet seven is not too tall.

Or all the shop owners in my town are sizists.

Just that.

Sizists. All of them.

I am like, come on! I don't see everyone size zero walking down the streets!

What happened to the curves?

All the clothes I buy flatten them, or squeeze 'em so tight that I cannot breathe.

I am pretty certain that there are many people like me, my size, and shape, looking for clothes that fit them.

So dear shop owners, can you please start storing clothes that fit average sized people? And don't look like they are wearing a toddler's outfit, or a potato sack.

Yours Sincerely,

Arshi

PEACE!
