I have been in and out of over four hospitals. In one, they'd stick a needle in my arm, draw blood, leave, come back, shake their head, and we'd leave. In the second, they went over my entire medical history, they took an MRI, said they needed over 3 weeks to review the results, we'd leave. In the next, they'd make me stay over night, study my brain as I went into a Dream, say they needed 2 weeks to study the results, have us sign papers, and we'd leave.

But here's the thing. We don't have three weeks. We don't have two weeks. Ann and Stan have five days to relocate me. Honestly, I'm still confused why I couldn't just come with until they found a new place for me. But for the past few days, it has been Ann and Stan's mission to get me out of here. Out of all the kids they could of had to be stuck with, I think they're upset they're stuck with me.

While Stan is out searching for hospitals and Ann is calling doctors, I manage to sneak out of the house and down to my swing. Oh, that good old swing. Of all the things that have changed in my life, that swing has always been here for me. Well, I guess it won't be in five days. I'm not really sure what's going to happen to me. In a week, this house won't be here, it will be torn down so some road can go through. They might even take my swing down...

It's quiet. I mean, it is TOO QUIET! Just months ago, there were kids playing in the yard, laughing, yelling. Now it's just me. Marla left what feels like years ago. It's just been me. That can't be healthy, especially for a girl my age. I haven't left the house unless it's to go to some stupid doctor. They haven't made any breakthroughs. They haven't cured me. I'm still a girl with some weird thing that makes her dream about a time traveling alien. All they have discovered is nothing new,

1) I go unconscious
2) My brain nearly shuts down
3) my heart pretty much shuts down
4) I stop breathing
I'm pretty sure I'm a medical miracle. I go several minutes into a coma, yet wake up unharmed minutes later. Huh, weird.

Well, here I sit on my swing. Something's strange. It's just so calm. 'The calm before the storm' pops into my head. I've always found it a very creepy saying. Unfortunately, it can often be true. But no, right now, I just want to sit here, by myself, and think.

Well, that doesn't last long.

"What do you mean? You're saying we're trapped?!"

No, not now. The swing is too far from the house, I'd never make it. I get off the swing, move into the open, and sit down.

"Well...maybe..."

The voices echo through my head, causing me to fall to the ground, covering my ears. It doesn't help.

"We've got to get out of here."

"I know..."
