"Witches. Witch ghosts. Ghost witches...ghwitches...what?"

"Well, they're not ghosts," the Doctor says.

"So...they're like the Gelth?"

"But they're sort of like witches."

"So they're like Carrionites?" I ask, "Weren't they...kind of violent? From what I remember, you looked at them the wrong way, and they would kill you without a second thought."

"Well, these things are different in the sense that unlike the Carrionites, they are rather docile creatures. Relatively speaking, they're harmless."

"Right, right, 'relatively' in the sense that one just tried to shred us to bits? So we got Gelth-Carrionites. Two words man; ghost, witch."

"Sorry guys," Alyssa interrupts, "I think you might have forgot there's a small confused human in the room, hi, that's me. Can someone speak English for a second and translate?"

"There are hundreds," the Doctor begins, "If not thousands of aliens who assimilate and live amongst humans, and most of them are no threat to the human race. There is this one type of witch-like being similar to this species called Carrionites. They live out their lives, and then once their bodies wear out, they essentially die. But they don't, instead they continue on as entities of energy. But they live in a completely different wavelength of reality. They should be completely undetectable by humans."

"Generally, obviously," I sigh, "Why can Emily hear them? What if she's like...what was her name...Gwenyth? She could see the Gelth."

"But the creature I think we're dealing with lives in a completely different frequency than the rest of the universe. If this girl can pick them up...she'd have to be incredibly powerful." The Doctor adds.

"Well, if she can move objects with her mind, she forgot to mention it. However-" I pause, "Is there any possibility she is one of these witch things, and is just channeling her own kind?"

"Not likely. There are very few of these creatures that still harbor a physical body left in existence. The chances of one living on Earth...nearly impossible."

"So then we're back to incredibly powerful -possibly dangerous- human teenager on the loose. Yikes." I grimace, gazing around the room, waiting for someone to say something. "I guess I'll talk to her later and try to figure this out..." I state when neither of them move. "Okay, well this has been fun," I force a laugh, "But yeah, I'm going to try to sleep for fifteen minutes before starting my day interrogating crazy psychic children."

"Hey hey hey, don't just disappear on us," Alyssa exclaims, "I have a question."

"What. Do. You want." I snap.

"If this thing - this alien - is peaceful, why did that one try to hurt us back there?"

"Wha- I don't know. Ask him!" I jab my thumb towards the Doctor, "He's Mr. I-got-all-the-answers-to-the-universe."

"Can I..." The Doctor says.

"Yeah...go," I say when he doesn't start.

"Basically, you angered it. They have very short wicks, and very small things can send them into a rage. It's not usually a problem, since most humans don't even know they exist. But by going out looking for them, you may have offended them..."

"So what, I wasn't enthusiastic enough for them?" I ask.

"Apparently so. And then of course anger builds power, so they're able to do rather violent things if they want to."

"Well I hate witches, so you two can go read up on them. If you need me, I'll be at my nine-fifteen history class."

"But they aren't necessarily witches-" The Doctor starts.
