Things Have Changed For Me [SEQUEL TO FORM A MOUNTAIN]

It had been three weeks since camp ended, three weeks since I'd seen my new best friends, and three long weeks since I had seen my boyfriend. Brendon's family had dragged him on a camping trip, Kendall got a job at some bagel shop, and Ryan had been cooped up in his house. He didn't have a car so he couldn't come see me...but I did. 

"MOM?" I yelled one morning when I woke up. I didn't get a response so she must have been at the gym or at work. I left a note on the kitchen counter for her. 

"Mommy! Went to visit le boyfriend and such. Home later or tomorrow. Love you!"

I ran upstairs to shower and get dressed. I spent a good forty five minutes attempting to pick an outfit. After multiple failed selections I ended up in a purple sundress and converse sneakers. I did my make up before hopping in the car to drive. I didn't text or call, this would be the surprise to end all surprises. 

RYAN'S POV

Peyton hadn't texted or called me all day, what if something was wrong? We never went this long without talking. I hated to be the clingy boyfriend but in this situation I was allowed to be worried. I called and called but I kept getting her voicemail message. I paced around the empty house praying that she was just out surfing or with a friend. I heard a car pull up into our driveway and then a knock on the front door, I rushed to open it. 

"Hi" Peyton said with a simple smile.
