Before I knew it summer was over and I was waking up for my first day of senior year. Everyone else was excited but I just couldn't find the pep I needed to be ready for this. I showered and threw on an orange tank top and a pair of light skinny skinny jeans. I picked up a pair of flip flops but ultimately decided that my dark black boots were better for this outfit. I was in the kitchen making myself some toast when I realized that I would have to see Nate today at school. Hopefully we wouldn't have any classes together or the same lunch period. I was taking pretty much all English and theater classes anyway, he wasn't into all that stuff. He was more engineering and technical sciences so hopefully our paths wouldn't cross. I ate my food and went to brush my teeth; after a few quick swipes of makeup I grabbed my school bag and got in the car.

I got to school and random people said hi to me but none of my old friends did but that was fine with me. I got my locker assignment and went to pick up my textbooks before class. Starting off senior year with no friends wouldn't be too bad, it's not like I didn't have friends in this world, they were just far away. The first bell rang and I went off to first period theater; starting my day with a good class every day would be amazing. I walked into class and saw a lot of my favorite faces. I should just hang out with drama kids all day instead of fakes and liars. I sat down and people immediately asked me how my summer was and telling me that I looked really tan. I smiled and talked with them, maybe this would be a good year. After all.

RYAN'S POV

I dragged myself to school with Brendon and Kendall. I felt like a third wheel even though I wasn't single, I misses her. I considered texting her but she was probably in class so I would just wait until lunch. I had first period chemistry, what a great way to start off the first day of senior year...science. I swear if the school didn't require it I wouldn't take it. I slugged off, not saying bye to Kendall or Brendon. I sat down at one of the back tables and rested my head for a moment, it was going to be a long year.
