RYAN'S POV

Peyton had been really stressed out lately because of the school play she was involved with. She was head of the technical production crew so she had a lot of responsibility. The play opened the week before Thanksgiving Break and she was struggling to make sure everything would go off without a hitch. We didn't get to talk much because she had to stay at school until ten on some nights but I would send her texts of encouragement and love.

Brendon, Kendall, and I were hanging out after school one day, just laying in the grass at some park. I was staring up at the clouds trying to decide what they looked like.

"I wish Pey was here" Kendall said.

"I know" I replied.

"I haven't gotten much out of her other than that she's stressed about the play" she said.

"Same" I told her.

"Idea" Brendon sat up "Let's go surprise her"

"Bren...you're a genius!" I exclaimed "We can go to opening night of the show!"

"Dude, no. Way to far to drive there and back in one day. Let's go to the show on the Friday before break and just bring her back with us" I said.

"My boys are geniuses" Kendall said as she squeezed our cheeks.

"Ow! Jeez mom" I joked "So it's settled. Next Friday we attack"

We got up from the grass to go home, she was going to love this...and us.

PEYTON'S POV

Ryan and Kendall both called me saying they had a surprise for me. Just what I needed, something else to stress me out. My period was already late and I suspected I would get it on opening night of the show, or I would skip. Isn't senior year supposed to be fun and easy? College apps were done for me a long time ago and I got into all my schools. I didn't know which to pick or if I should pick one at all since Ryan claimed the band was going to blow up. I'd figure it out in the spring; if the band didn't have any hooks, I was going to school. Even if they did I would probably still go to school, I was all for supporting their dream but I didn't just want to be a groupie or whatever. I wanted to follow my dreams too.

We had our final dress rehearsal and it went well so I relaxed somewhat knowing that the show would be okay. I got home and crashed with thoughts of what this so-called surprise from my friends was going to be.
