Things Have Changed For Me [SEQUEL TO FORM A MOUNTAIN]

Chapter Twenty Three

"I am having so much fun!" I exclaimed as we got off Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. 

"I'm so glad" Ryan replied. 

"Thank you for this, for everything" I told him. 

"It's all because I love you" he said.

"I love you too. I can't wait until school is over and we can be together all the time"

"About that, we should talk about the future" he said. We sat down on a little bench and looked into each other's eyes. 

"You're not breaking up with me are you?"

"No no no" he repeated "I'm just telling you how the future is going to work"

"Oh?"

"Yeah. I know you want to go to college but I don't think it's going to happen for me. Brendon doesn't know this but a few record labels are interested in picking up the band. Pey, we could get signed!"

"Ry, that's great!" I told him. "Follow your dream"

"That's another thing, Pey. I want to follow my dream but I also have dreams involving you. If we get big and tour, I want you there. Not cramped up  in some dorm room. I want you with me"

"Ryan, I--"

"Shh don't make the decision now. If you want to go to college, we'll make it work"

"I've worked so hard, Ryan. I want to be something more than just a rockstar's girlfriend. Hopefully you understand"

"And I do!" he said "My little productive girl"

"I love you" I told him again. 

"I love you too. I'm sorry for dumping all this on you"

"Baby it's okay" I said "Come on, let's go on more rides"

We got up from the bench and walked around the park for awhile before deciding to go over to California Adventure. It was packed full of thrill rides and everything fast. 

"Idea!" he said. 

He walked into one of the souvenir shops and I wondered why. We lived in California, we didn't need Disneyland merchandise. He emerged a few minutes later with matching ear hats for us. They had our named embroidered on the back of them. He placed it on my head and I smiled. 

"Thank you, I love it" I told him. 

"I'm glad. Now let's hit California Screamin"

He grabbed my hand and led me toward the giant roller coaster. We got the very front car and held on for dear life through the twists, turns, climbs, and dips. We rode it twice before I checked my phone and saw that Kendall wanted to meet up in Downtown Disney for lunch. We happily went to join them.
