Things Have Changed For Me [SEQUEL TO FORM A MOUNTAIN]

Chapter Eleven

KENDALL'S POV

"Should we let them back in?" I asked "I don't want my best friends to freeze to death"

"Babe, it's like 80 degrees out there, but yeah let's go get them"

We walked out of my living room and were about to go into the backyard when we saw them. Ryan had a towel wrapped around his waist but he was on top of her. They were making out, like hardcore making out. I could hear her moaning from where we were. There was no sight of her bikini top even though we'd gotten them back. I didn't want them having unprotected sex so I had to intervene. She sat up when I announced that we were watching. Her bikini top sloppily covering her chest. 

"Um..." was all Brendon could say. 

"Here's your clothes, Ry" I said, throwing the pile of fabrics at him. He quickly got dressed and she wrapped a towel back around herself. 

"You guys can come back inside if you want" Brendon said. 

"I need clothes that aren't wet" Peyton said. 

"I'm on it" I said as we went back to my room. I raided my dresser for some shorts and camis. 

"Looks like you had fun" I said, noticing several hickeys on her neck and collarbone. 

"Yeah..." she replied "Sorry about that"

"Honeychild don't be sorry, you're in love"

"I am" she smiled. "I was with Nate for so long and after he told me what he did I didn't think I'd be able to love again yet here I am"

"What are you guys going to do when school starts back up?" she asked. 

"I'm trying not to think about it" she admitted "But it does cross my mind a lot"

"It'll be okay" I hugged her "Let's go watch some movies"

We went downstairs to the living room where the boys were sitting on the couch. Peyton crawled into Ryan's lap and he wrapped his arms around her. She buried her head in between his neck and chest and he sort of nuzzled her head with his. They were the most precious things on the planet. I wanted to just stand there and flail but I needed to grab snacks and movies. I piled my arms full of junk food and DVDs before returning to the living room. 

"Everyone okay with watching Resident Evil?" I asked. 

"Sure" Brendon was the only one to response because Peyton and Ryan were whispering little things to each other. I put on the movie and sat next to Brendon who put an arm around me too. I snuggled close to him and watched the movie. 

Peyton fell asleep maybe thirty minutes in and rather than watch the movie, Ryan sat there stroking her arm and humming to her while Brendon and I paid attention to the TV. At the end, we left them on the couch and moved to my room. 

"They're cute" he said as we crawled into my small bed "Like, really cute. And I'm a guy..."

"They're in love, just like us" I kissed him. 

"They're gonna end up married, I know they are"

"I have to agree" I said "They're too perfect for each other, in a good way"

"We should sleep" he said. 

I laid against him as he sang some song to me to help me drift away.
