RYAN'S POV
As soon as the final bell rang on that Friday, Kendall, Brendon, and I got in Brendon's car and hopped on the freeway to go see Peyton. She still didn't know we were coming to see her so this really would be a great surprise.
"MOVE!" I yelled when we got stuck in some traffic. We only had a few hours to get there and I really wanted us to make it on time.
"Ryan, relax" Kendall told me from the front seat. "Sit back and listen to your iPod, okay?"
I stuck my headphones in my ears and searched for a song on my iPod. The Beatles always managed to put me in a calm mood so I pressed play and ignored the stupid California traffic.
PEYTON'S POV
It was about an hour before everyone needed to be in their places for the first scene of the play and so far everything was going right. Our leads were going over their lines while the less important characters were getting costumes and make up. Ryan and Kendall weren't texting me which was good because I was too busy to answer anything anyway.
With ten minutes to spare I got everyone in place before taking my own place at the side of the stage. The lights dimmed and that was when my phone finally buzzed. I got the actors and actresses in their spots before running off to check my phone really quick.
Kendall: check row 7, seats 16 thru 18 when u can ;)
Could this be...? Were they...? Oh god just what I needed; more stress. I casually peaked through a space and couldn't see anything since it was dark in the auditorium but I knew they were there. At intermission I would go find them, for now I had to do my job.
