It has been 2 weeks since Yassen last saw Alex before he was shipped off to Japan. He, himself, was also asked to do a few simple assassinations in that time frame as he contemplated about his retirement. He wasn't old but in his profession he is considered pretty old. He was in his early thirties, not old. Yassen was just returning when he noticed there was extra shoes at the door. He stopped in the living room. Nothing has been moved though... Then he heard someone screaming somethings in one of the rooms further into the house. Through the time he has spent at Alex's house, he has noticed Alex had a few hidden rooms and there are still some the assassin has not yet discovered. However the screaming was coming from Alex's entertainment room. "Noo!!! F* you! Don't do it!!!" It sounded like... Like a woman. Yassen's senses heightened as thoughts swirled around his head. Who is she and where is Alex?
Yassen opened the door and the woman inside froze, pausing from her sudden outburst at the movie she was watching on the big screen. "Who are you?" The woman asked as she rested her hand casually on her hips, trying to not draw attention to the fact that she can pull out her gun quicker now but Yassen noticed that move. "I could ask you the same thing."
"How did you get in here then?" She questioned. Yassen let go of his grip on the keys and let it drop to show her the keys whilst still having one finger in the keychain hole. Surprise flashed across her face, then confusion then the 'WTF' look. "Why do you have keys to this house?" she asked.
"Because the owner lets me." Yassen said, still eying her warily. She seem to relax at the fact that he had permission to enter. "Where is Alex?"
"Alex.... uh... actually I have no idea. We came to discuss somethings but he disappeared saying he went to get something before we start."
"Ah. Is that why you are watching a movie?"
"Yes," her attention turned to the movie before she cursed again, "you stupid child! You f*ing ruined everything! Naruto is gone now because of you!" Yassen watched the screen as he tried to figure out why she was so in distress. Boruto, the new and latest Naruto movie. The woman paused the movie as a door that seem to have appeared out of nowhere from the wall opened slowly. She glanced at Yassen who was also looking curiously at the door. She edged towards the door and suddenly someone jumped out from the darkness and she erupted into a loud scream and instinctively swiped at the person before running off. The man started laughing at her reaction and was rolling on the ground, clutching his sides. "F* off, Tobias."
"Your expression was priceless! I must thank Al for letting me use that door!" The woman huffed and glared at Tobias.
"Who are you?" Tobias asked.
"Al gave him keys." The woman explained, one: to tell Tobias that she doesn't know his name, two: to let Tobias know that he is harmless if Alex had let him have the house key.
"Where's Alex?" Yassen asked Tobias.
"I don't know. I last saw him in the kitchen but that was 5 minutes ago." Yassen sighed. Where's that boy?
Yassen tensed when he heard a soft, almost inaudible, rustle of clothing from above them. The two strangers were conversing quietly with each other, unaware of the sound. A blur dropped on top of the both of them, pinning their hands to their backs immediately immobilizing them. Alex. "You let your guards down." Alex stated simply.
"Dammit."
"Lesson? Don't let your guard down, especially not when two assassins are in the house."
"Two?! I thought you were the only one."
"Well, Katia, you'll never know. What makes you think I don't work with a partner?"
"Who?" Tobias asked, struggling to no avail. Alex let them go and stood up. "Him." Alex said jerking his head towards Yassen. Alex gave Yassen a small smile and he returned the gesture. Yassen studied Alex's new appearance. Piercings, lots of them on his ear and one on his lip. Tattoos (temporary- can only be removed with a special solution so don't worry, it will not get washed off with water) running down his neck, and a few lines going around his arm. His hair dyed to an unnatural colour: dark blue and grey ombré.
"You look hot." Yassen mumbled seductively as he stepped towards Alex and leaned down for a kiss, earning a gasp of surprise from the two. Yassen raised a hand to grab one side of Alex's neck, his thumb stroking Alex's face gently. Alex responded back eagerly, wrapping his arm around Yassen's neck. "I missed you." Alex whispered when they separated. "I missed you too."
Alex turned to face the other two in the room, a slight red tinge on his cheeks. "So you were actually serious when you said you have a boyfriend?" Katia asked carefully and Alex nodded.
"Oh wow. Your man is gonna get jealous. Those girls are so clingy." Tobias said with a shiver.
"Well, I trust my boyfriend to stay loyal." Yassen said and Alex looked at him, his eyes glinting with gratefulness at the trust. "Good. I am sure you know Alex also trust you." Tobias said, his eyes narrowing and a silent threat hanging in the air. Yassen nodded, pleased with Tobias's protectiveness. Alex moved to grab a tablet from the glass table and swung his hand slightly, the movie on the screen looked like it was flicked away. Interactive motion sensing technology are the best. Alex tapped on the tablet in hand and pushed two fingers on the tablet screen upwards, whatever that was on the handheld device appeared on the bigger screen for everyone to see. All they saw were rows and rows of numbers.
"Uh... What are we looking at?" Katie asked.
"I don't know, it was one of the files I found along with the text."
"The 'fb' text? A team is going through Facebook already." Tobias said.
"I don't think the message is about Facebook." Alex stated as he studied the numbers. He tensed when his phone rang. Alex doesn't have many numbers on his phone, only Tom and Yassen had his phone number, k-unit had them too but they never call him. Alex pulled out his phone and wariness flickered across his face. It was an unknown number. Alex glanced at the others in the room before answering the phone and putting it on speaker. "Hello?" A female voice called out.
"Hi?" Alex replied hesitantly.
"Oh my god! Is this Alex? Oh my god! I can't believe it! Oh my god!" The female squealed in delight causing everyone on the other side of the phone to frown at her exclamations. Alex looked like he was about to hang up on her and tell her she got the wrong number. "Who are you?"
"Oh! Um! I am Jacinta! Your chemistry classmate!" Alex raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"How did you get my number?"
"Well, um it's a long story but are you free? Maybe we could go to the movies or something before this break ends." Alex blinked, did she just called a classmate she barely know and asked a total stranger out? Yes she did. Yassen looked nothing but amused, Tobias and Katia were both trying their hardest not to laugh at the girl's poor attempt to flirt and get Alex to go out with her. "I thought you hate me?" Alex asked, it wasn't trying to be rude or anything but he was merely stating a fact. The other occupants in the room looked at Alex, shocked. Why do people from his school not like him? The girl spluttered and was stuttering, not forming a single coherent sentence. "Well we- wait- what? Oh for f*s sake! Will you just go out with me?!"
"I'm sorry Jacinta, I already got the rest of my holidays planned out. Sorry."
"Oh okay. I'll see you in school?"
"Um, yeah." Alex said and she bid her farewells in the most cheerful and squealy voice before blowing kisses and hanging up. Alex tsked at the dreadful experience. "I think I have an idea how she got my number." Alex said and tapped on the tablet, another windows popped up with Skype on, calling Tom. Tom answered and he paused for a while as he took in the room occupants. He zeroed in on Alex. "Al?"
"Hello."
"You're still alive! Great! So what's with the new look? Oh my god. Did you see the new Call of Duty game? It was so sick! Oh and that chemistry project is so difficult!" Tom said in rapid fire not allow Alex to answer. Alex chose this moment to cut in smoothly. "Speaking of chemistry, why does our Chemistry classmate Jacinta have my phone number?"
"Jacinta? That really really hot chick that everyone is after except you?"
"Yes, that one."
"Actually come to think of it, you're not really attracted to any girls, not even boys. OH MY GOD! Are you asexual?!"
"Thanks for your concern but no I am not asexual. Now, don't change the subject and answer me."
"I seriously don't know how she got your number, she came to me one day and asked to borrow my phone..." Tom said trailing off. Alex picked up immediately. "She must have gone through your contacts and sent my number to herself." Tom dived for his phone and immediately started scrolling through it. "But there is nothing sent to an unknown number." Alex looked up from the tablet. "But there is in the deleted section."
"You are looking through my messages?!" Tom mock gasped and glared at Alex.
"Interesting conversation you had there with your dad." Alex commented and Tom spluttered blushing bright red. "Well, argh! Blame him! Who tells their kids about all that sex and safety sh*t through text?!" Alex's lip twitched in amusement.
"Why do you always play bingo with who you're texting?"
"Well Mr. Perfect, I am lazy and not very capable of typing with perfect grammar and vocabulary."
"You know, your texts gave me an idea."
"What?! You're thinking about work when you're talking to your friend? Rude!" Tom exclaimed in mock dignity.
"I'm not the one with a face that made a baby cry." Alex jabbed back, knowing his bestfriend would try to best him with his insults. Then to make things funnier, a baby started crying in the back ground, the sound travelling from the next door neighbour into Tom's open window.
"Hmpft! At least I am not the one with a face that has 3/4 of the school population as his fanclub."
"Yeah yeah whatever, wait. What?" Alex asked in confusion. Yassen, Katia and Tobias perked up with more interest. Tom was staring at Alex with the 'WTF' look. "You mean you don't know about the fan club?"
"I do but I thought that was just 10 girls. How did it become 3/4 of the school population? The whole school has 1028 students, only 420 girls. That means that... club has at least 771 people in it, with 351 of them being boys..." Alex trailed off and his face twisted in to a somewhat horrified and weirded out expression. "Do you want me to name a few? Luke Harding is one of them you know."
"Harding can't be gay, he has a girlfriend."
"He is also one of the smartest kid and is a school football captain. Total opposites. Admit it Alex, you can turn straight guys gay and lesbians straight."
"I also heard that Kyle Morris wants to ask you out during the first football match that is after the school holidays." Tom said excitedly, grinning from ear to ear.
"Uh, thanks for the heads up?"
"Seriously though. You should get a girlfriend or boy-" Tom was cut off when a loud ringtone reverberated through the air. "Hello from the outside~!" Tom fell off his chair in shock. He peeked up from his position on the ground and looked around cautiously. "What the f* was that?"
"That, was Adele's new song- Hello." Alex replied helpfully.
"Right, oh my god Sabina! That was your doing wasn't it?!" Tom shouted towards the door.
"Well! You're talking to someone and the song seems fitting!" Tom's girlfriend shouted back from behind the door. Tom rolled his eyes in amusement before settling back into his chair. "What we're we talking about? Right, girlfriend and- is that Yas... Something? That assassin you told me about?"
"Yassen, and yes he is."
"Then aren't you suppose to be dead?" Tom asked. Alex sighed in exasperation. "He doesn't want to kill me."
"And I wouldn't kill the one I love." Yassen said, hugging Alex from behind, shocking Tom.
"... Wait, LOVE? That means boyfriend girlfriend, RELATIONSHIP! Hold up! Hold up! Let me get this straight even though you're not looking very straight- anyways. Is the relationship serious and official?" Tom asked and Alex was getting worried that Tom was going to reject being his friend. Yassen seem to have sense Alex's distress as he rubbed Alex's arm in a soothing motion to try calm him. Alex nodded.
"Has he brought you out on cute little dates?" Tom asked and received another nod, a small smile twitched at the lover's faces when a few of their date nights popped up.
"Is he treating you well?" Nod
"Does he get jealous?" Alex paused and looked at Yassen who nodded at Tom.
"Oh my god! The assassin can get jealous! Al, are you proud that you're the reason behind his jealousy? Oh my! ALEX IS IN AN OFFICIAL RELATIONSHIP! MOM!" Tom exclaimed and soon footsteps came thudding towards the door. Alex let out a breath of relief when Tom had approved of their relationship.
"With who?"
"That guy right there, hugging the boy with dyed hair- that's Alex by the way." Tom's mom drilled them both with questions before she was finally satisfied. "Would you guys like to come over for dinner some time?" She asked, all motherly.
"I would like that, I'll tell Tom when we're free."
"Okay!" With that she turned and walked out, probably to go to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
"I got to go Al! You take care of Alex or my mom will hunt you down." Tom threatened Yassen before hanging up.
"That went well..." Tobias said.
"So what idea did you have?"
"The text might be a code not Facebook... Hold on... Those are Fibonacci numbers and they're arranged so that three numbers are in between each Fibonacci. The second number from either left or right of the Fibonacci must be some sort of crypt." Alex said tapping on the screen and all the Fibonacci numbers were highlighted.
"Is it alphabetically numbered?" Kami's asked.
"... No. It doesn't make sense." Alex said as he pulled out those centre numbers and replaced them with alphabets. It was just gibberish. "Unless, there is another code.... Polyalphabetical cipher, 'Fb' isn't Facebook, 'f' is Fibonacci and 'b' must be the letter to decrypt the entire message." -look at image for polyalphabetical cipher table-
Alex deciphered it and the words 'project Danger D'Amo, Well We Iris' popped up. -Anyone who has seen Spy Kids 4 will known where I got that from... Oops-
"What does that mean?" Katia asked.
"It's an anagram. Rearrange the letters and it gives you... Project Armageddon, we will rise."
"What's Armageddon?" Tobias asked, ah the one with a Buddhist religion.
"It's in the bible. The battle of Armageddon refers to the final war between human governments and God." Alex said.
"Did you read the bible like 300 times and memorised it or something?" Katia joked.
"No but I read it once and it got stuck." Alex said, he didn't actually have to read the bible as he himself is an atheist. "You and your photographic memory."
"So, the message means they refer to themselves as God and we are the government."
"Does that mean war?" Tobias asked.
"Not if I can stop it."
