The sign read closed, but the lights lay on with Coffee Boy seated on a tall stool. He swirled his spoon into the dark colored cup.
"Coffee Boy?"
"Yes?" He replied. He snapped his neck up with big eyes.
"When do you plan to flirt with her?"
He smiled. "I tried. It seems to work." He took a sip but his large smiled could not be hidden behind the cup.
"Someone's happy." The Barista nudged him with his elbow. "Tell me what you said."
"Top secret information. Only for me and her tinted cheeks to know." His smile kept widening.
"Aww. You're so cute." He reached down and pulled his cheeks.
"Dark roast again?"
"Yes. I like this flavor."
"I know you do. Every time."
"It is very, just hits the spot. Mmmm." He took a sip and gave a warm smile back.
