Chapter 02: She still got it

I had to squint my eyes and look around the dark room.

A man with broad shoulders, stood staring out of the Windows. I jumped back a little, but then approached him.

"Err Mr.Monroe" I asked aloud as he turned around swiftly and froze.

"What are you doing here?" He sounded cold and distant.

"Uh I came here for the job" I smiled, hopefully he will accept me.

It was silent for a while, he just stared at me.

"You think this is funny? You think this is a joke!" He shouted, I flinched.

"N-no sir, I j-j" He cut me off.

"Elliot, why did you come here" And this time I froze. How did he know my name?

"H-How did you know my name?" I asked taking a step back.

He let out a rough sigh and stalked towards me, I immediately took steps back.

Soon I felt the wall behind me.

"Sir don't you dare come any closer" I squeaked.He stopped and frowned at me.

"It's not sir, it's Mr.Monroe" This guy is a creep, I gotta get outta here!

"Uh Mr.Monroe, I actually don't want the job anymore...So" I slowly reached for the knob, he was acting crazy.

He grabbed my hand, and leaned in.

"What are you playing at?" He said coldly, I looked at him with confusion.

"I'm not playing anything sir- Mr.Monroe" I stammered, a dark smirk over took his figures.

"Do I make you nervous?" I slowly nodded, with wide eyes.

He stared at me for a while, it seemed like he was searching for something.

He looked confused.

"Good, your hired. Here sign this" He turned around and handed me a packet.

"What is this for?" I asked him.

"Oh just the regulations and emergency stuff. I might have tweaked a thing or two" He said causally.

"What things have you tweaked?" I asked him with raised eyebrows.

"Oh just that in case of emergency, you have to come along and all that" I shrugged and signed the papers.

"Oh and Elliot" He called just went I stood up.

"Don't be late or else" With that I happily went to the elevator and down.

My phone beeped and I looked at it.

"We are going on a trip to Italy, for a week. Be ready by tommarow morning 8am"

I sighed as I sat on my bed, I stared at my screen picture for a while.

It was a picture of me and a guy named Luke. I was grinning at the camera, and my eyes looked joyful. Luke however, was staring at me with a small smile.

I felt a feeling in my stomach as I stared at it.
Flashback:

"I need a wall picture on my phone!" I whined as I looked through my pictures, trying to find a good looking one.

"How about we take one now?" Luke snatched my phone and positioned it.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, as he stopped and looked at me.

A warm feeling crossed my cheeks and I nodded curtly. He likes me! HE LIKES ME!

He grinned before snapping a picture.

End of flashback:

I felt tears swell in my eyes, I need to search for this man. I need to find Luke, no one is giving me answers. I'll just have to find out myself.

I started to pack before starting to fall fall asleep, not before texting Mr.Monroe.

"Don't worry Mr.Monroe, I'll be there." I texted.

"Forever?"
I stared at the text in confusion.

"What?" I replied feeling  drowsy.

"Nothing, just get ready and meet me in the airport"  I sighed as I rolled over on my bed.

Mr.Monroe...your hiding something
