(Y/N) POV: I woke up with a pounding headache and felt even more exhausted than when I passed out! I saw Josh sitting in that same corner he did when we first met. Mumbling like he always did. He saw me wake up and started to flip his s**t!
"(Y/N)! You're ok? I thought you had almost died!" Was what I got when I woke up. I grabbed my head because of my pounding headache.
"It's ok Josh. I just passed out for a little while... Was I ok?" I asked suspiciously. Josh's face dropped for a second or so.
"You had a few night terrors but I, uh, handled it like usual. Like the way I did before." His eyes shifted.
"A FEW night terrors?!?!? How long was I out?!?!?" The real question came. Josh shifted his feet.
"About 3 days..." Josh said quietly. Averting eye contact.
"3 days?!?!?!?!" I screamed. My head pumped furiously! That's why I was so tired! I hadn't eaten in 3 days! Josh stalked up to me slowly and tried to calm me down. He grabbed my hands and looked into my eyes. My hyperventilating slowly stopped. I calmed myself down slowly.
"It's ok, I promise. I made sure that you had a little bit of water each day, I couldn't make you eat of course." Josh told me slowly.
"Oh god thank you!" I breathed out quickly. I smiled nervously, aware of the fact that Josh had been a part Wendigo for six or seven days. His features still seemed the same though.
After Josh fed me some more stew, I decided to tell him what was on my mind right then.
"Hey Josh?" I asked quietly. He looked up from his corner.
"Yeah (Y/N)?" He asked smiling.
"I was wondering..." I went on slower that a turtle and a snail combined! A... Surtle!!!
"Yeah?" He asked quickly.
"Could I... Umm... This is awkward... Do you mind if I could maybe use some of the melting snow to wash the blood off of you? Just a weird thought that came up." I asked, averting eye contact.
"You got the weird part right. But why do you want to?" He asked suspiciously.
"I don't know... I guess I just don't like blood. He he he." I laughed awkwardly. I looked at him quickly a couple of times and saw that he was smiling at me.
"Don't worry (Y/N). I get it. Sure!" He said enthusiastically. I smiled at him.
   "Ok!" I said back.
Outside it was cold but the sun was warming up the air a bit. Looking at the sun I guessed it was around three in the afternoon. I decided to sit down in the cold snow with content. Josh followed my movement and sat criss-cross. He smiled at me. I began to realize that his features were looking a bit more Wendigo.
"You sure you're ok with this?" I asked uncertainly.
"Don't worry about me! I'm fi-grrrrrr." His throat rumbled like a Wendigo at the last word. I looked even more uncertain.
"We good?" I asked. He just nodded this time. I took some snow in my hands and rubbed it on the blood stained face. He shivered at first but was fine. I gradually rubbed the rest of the blood off of him and his clothes. In the end, he just looked like he was born different... Actually... We're all kinda "born different." But you get the point.
"And... Done!" I exclaimed. He looked good! Josh looked himself up and down and smiled.
"I look good!" He exclaimed. I giggled a little.
Josh's POV: (Y/N) really could do wonders when she put her mind to it! I couldn't help but smile at her. She smiled back.
"Sure you do..." (Y/N)led me on.
"Damn straight!" I playfully yelled back. We went back inside the cave and made dinner... More deer stew! It wasn't half bad. After we ate we were both tired and went to sleep. Before we did Sarah asked me something.
"Do you think you'll turn into a full Wendigo?" She asked me, scared.
"I think I might. I really am starting to feel more like a Wendigo. But when I'm around you more and talking with you... I feel more human... Like I simply can't change into a Wendigo..." Was my answer. I made her a little nervous.
"What if you ever loose control as a Wendigo and forget me? Or you forget who you are!" She turned towards me.
"How could I forget the one who never left me? The one who cared enough to stay with me?" He asked me, looking straight into my now hazel eyes.
"I don't know... It was just a thought." She said, looking away.
"Then try not to think about it." I joked with her. She smiled and curled up next to me.
   "Good night Josh."
"Good night (Y/N)." I said back. She snored next to me and I stroked her head. Not knowing that this would be the last time I saw her in a while.
