Rachael was glad that they decided to change one of the songs to this one. She was having a lot of fun with the dance moves they both put together and the face pace. At lunch they decided to go to the little store up the street to eat. Rachael told him about Sam being pregnant and he let her know that if she ever needs to leave it will be okay.
When they got back to the studio they practiced the other three songs they picked out for the competition. The songs were “I want Crazy” by Hunter Hayes, “See you again” by Carrie Underwood, “Missing you” By Set It Off, and “Forever” by Chris Brown. They were able to choose more faster paced songs this time.
Around five they called it quits and headed home. When Rachael walked in the door she saw Sam in the living, surprised she was still home.
“Everything okay?” Rachael asked.
Sam looked up, “Oh yeah, I’m scheduled for six.”
“Oh, okay. Just making sure.” Rachael walked through to the kitchen.
Sam walked in and sat at the island, “So how was practice?”
“It was good. I think we almost have the new dance down, it’s really fun.”
“That’s good.” Sam laughed. Rachael sat down next to her, “Yeah.”
Rachael walked up to her room and got on the computer. She checked everything, answering a few people. She saw a tweet that Cody had posted.
“Leaving Rachael is the hardest thing to do. I hate it.”
She smiled and tweeted him back, “I hate when you leave me. Come back.”
Her phone dinged and she ran for her bag. It was a random number. She started to worry a fan got her number somehow. She looked at the screen and all the text said was “Hey.”
“Hey.. Who is this?” she replied.
She went back to the computer, her phone dinged again. “It’s Marie. I’m sorry, I should have said that in the first text.”
“Oh hey! It’s okay, I was just worried a fan got my number somehow.”
“I understand. Well, I’m leaving tomorrow for Ohio.”
“Oh, do you need help with anything?”
“I was thinking of coming up to Cleveland so we can meet. Maybe the day after?”
“That sound’s good to me. Just let me know.”
“Okay, I’m a little nervous.”
“Don’t worry, everything will be okay.”
“I hope so.. I miss Maxx.”
“I know how you feel. Do you plan on coming to Cleveland when they come here for the tour?”
“Yeah, I thought about it.”
“I think you should, and you know you can stay at my house.”
“Thank you. I have to go, I’ll text you later.”
“Okay, bye.”
Rachael saved her number in her phone and put her phone down, turning back to the computer. She continued to check things and answer some more people. She loved seeing the pictures of her with fans, knowing they were happy to meet her and accept her. She saw a lot of pictures with Sam and fans, a lot of them looking at her ring, or pointing it out.
“Hey,” Cassie said walking into the living room.
Rachael looked up, “Hey, what’s up?”
“I wanted to see what you were doing.” she sat next to her.
“Oh, well, nothing.. As you can see.” Rachael laughed.
Cassie laughed with her, “I do see that.. Do you want to do anything?”
“A movie actually sounds nice.” Rachael pulled out her phone, “I’ll look up movie times.”
Cassie shook her head and watched Rachael. They picked a movie and a time. They had some time to kill before the movie so they stopped to get some dinner.
