In a State of Temporary Bliss

"Sure ka na ba jan anak? Kayo ni Rhian sigurado na ba kayong gagawin niyo yung teleserye na yan?" Tito Boy asked while we're having lunch at their house after the first story conference for the soap.

"Yes dad napagusapan naman na po namin ni Rhian, nabasa na rin namin thoroughly yung script kahit hindi pa siya totally final and besides we've signed the contracts." Glaiza explained, while her parents listened intently

"Yes of course andun na tayo anak, the thing is, yung reaction ng mga taong hindi makakaintindi nung story niyo. Handa ba kayo sa mga controversy na ibabato sa inyo?" Nanay Cristy butt in

"Given naman na po yun knowing we're doing a lesbian themed soap, we can't please everybody, so it's just a matter of getting the message across din, na this kind of love, is existent, and it's not wrong in any angle. It's going to be the loudest voice for our fellow members of the community. It's 2015." Glaiza said with all sincerity.

And she's not wrong, we're both already enamored with the soap after the story conference, miss Suzi was right, it's not going to be easy, because people would always have something to say, or people would always expect, and of course more conservative people would cringe or not watch at all, but then it's going to be worth it because this the first of it's kind, totally groundbreaking and empowering. And if it'll end in a happy note then it'll be history. A history Glaiza and I really wanted to be part of.

"Rhian, iha, ikaw okay lang ba talaga sayo yung serye? Sa family mo?" Nanay Cristy concerened

"Yes Nanay C, they've always wanted me to do something that'll challenge me, miski nga po si dad nagsabing why not, he knows it's going to be great daw, and kasama ko naman daw po si Cha, so I'm safe." I revered and Glaiza and I can't help but threw each other playful looks.

"Oh siya sige, basta kami ng nanay C niyo andito lang para sa inyo. Galingan niyo ha?" Tito Boy chuckled

"Syempre naman dad, thank you po."

"Nga pala, hindi pa kayo lumilipat ng condo?" Nanay Cristy asked

"Hindi pa po Nay, si Cha kasi ang tamad mag pack ng mga gamit namin." I teased

"Hala love! Hindi naman kaya, ikaw kaya yun." Glaiza back fired, making Tito Boy laugh and Nanay Cristy shake her head.

"Basta lilipat din po kami Nay, siguro after nalang ng TRMD no love? Gusto na kasi nilang magstart ng shooting eh."

"Okay love." I smiled

"Teka, kumuha kayo ng driver pwede ba yun? Kasi for sure aabutin ng gabi o madaling araw ang mga shoot niyo, ayokong magdadrive sinoman sa inyo ng pagod." Nanay Cristy ordered

"Gusto mo Cha ako nalang?" Tito Boy offered

"Nako dad wag na po, nakakahiya naman - -"

"Yung driver nalang po ni mom." I offered

"Hindi naman ba nakakahiya sa mommy mo Rhian?"

"Okay lang po yun, hindi naman po palaging umaalis si mom ng bahay." I smiled

"Okay sige mabuti naman at meron ng mapagkakatiwalaan. Kelan daw ba ang start ng production niyo?"

"Next week po yung immersions namin. Tapos a week after that start na po ng shoot, gusto daw po kasi nilang ipalabas somewhere May of 2016."

After Rhain and I accepted the project, we became instant standard bearers of good will for the LGBT community, and we didn't expect the load of support they'll threw our way, although of course at first they're skeptical, some are thinking maybe the love wins series we formerly released was just a marketing tactic, knowing it was deliberately supported online, but then among the number of interviews here and there, I answered truthfully that it was my way of coming out, only it got out of hand when the unexpected support boomed.
