I shiver.
I feel someone watching me with every step I take.
My hand against the wall.
As I stumble in the dark. Then I hear it.
The sound of accelerating footsteps in the dark. Then I break for it.
Cutting around a corner.
My heart beating so hard. It hurts. I feel like it's going to stop. I'll die in this lonely moment.
And then comes the shadow.
Tall. Brooding.
I hold my breathe. And try to calm my racing heart.
It draws nearer and nearer. Till it stops right beside me.
I can hear it pant.
Fear clutches me.
As it turns to me.
I gasp.
