I pull on my cloak and best shoes as I get ready to leave.
The count has promised me to take me to the nearest town.
It's been a day since that dream. It's hard to believe.
That we knew each other. I think about questioning him.
We get into the carriage. And the ride begins. Down the bumpy road.
I turn to him.
"Did we know each other as children? Did we play together?" I ask.
He looks at me.
A sad expression floats through his eyes then disappears.
Making me wonder if I even saw it at all.
"Yes," was his reply. "We would play hide and seek in the street next to your house."
I sit in shock.
How could something like happen and I don't even remember?
