I was still reeling over the fact that I was suppose to marry the biggest jerk in all of the Dallas area.

I decided to take Ronnie up on her offer to take me to the club she said was Dixon's usual hangout.

The place was overly crowded, too loud, hot, and I just wanted to leave. I don't even know why I decided to come, what if he isn't even here, what if he is? Would I do anything if I saw him here with some other girl? I mean it's not like I have these crazy feelings for him, right?

I sighed as I knew deep down that some part of me was starting to develop those feelings, it was the same part of me that got excited when he called us his girlfriend, the same part that grew just a little bit every time he touched me.

It could be a girl thing but now that I was here and the possibility of finding him with another girl was real I was becoming more and more possessive of my future husband.

So he has a past, everyone does, he's great in every other aspect. I suddenly didn't want to be here anymore. I didn't want to find him here, I didn't want to have these feelings.

"There." Ronnie said pulling me from my inner battle. "That's his VIP table."

I hesitated to look but when I finally did a huge smile broke over my face to see that he was nowhere amongst the group of guys and their skanks. One of the guys noticed me smiling and waved me over.

Since Dixon and I were only just dating I'm sure he hadn't mentioned anything about me to his friends, so I decided to walk over and do some digging.

"You ladies care to join us?"

"No." I said boldly, "I was looking for your other friend."

"Which one?" He asked curiously.

"You know, the tall one with dark hair and bluish green eyes."

"Oh, that's my boy Dixon!" He exclaimed "yeah, you won't be seeing him around here tonight."

"Why?"

"He's spending time with his family plus he has a girlfriend so let me do you a favor by filling that void." He tried to seduce me.

I liked this guy, even though he was trying to hit on me he was still trying to keep his friend out of trouble.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"David."

I turned around to leave.

"Hey I'm gonna call it a night." I said as I hugged my girls "thanks for tonight, it was good seeing you."

"Let me give you a ride." Elise offered.

"No, stay and have fun."

I left the club, I walked across the street toward the cabs and then I pulled out my phone.

I text Dixon about having brunch tomorrow, I included the restaurant and the time but before I pressed send his blank contact portrait filled my screen.

"Hey, I was just about to send you a text." I happily admitted.

As he spoke I could hear that something was wrong.

"Well what's your address?"

He gave me his address and I jumped into a cab, repeating the address to the driver.

"I'm on my way."

"I just can't be alone tonight." He said desperately.

My heart broke for him, it had to be something huge to make him show such a moment of weakness and ask for my help.
