EDITED: December 2020

This afternoon's tutoring session would be held at Theo's house, and not mine.

"My parents are out of town tonight and they want to me babysit my sister," He explained to me after school as we stood at my locker.

I nodded, totally okay with it. "Yeah, that's okay."

He then proceeded to write down his address for me.

"So uh, see you in about twenty?" He asked, moving his hair out of his eyes.

"Yep," I nodded, smiling at him.

Deciding that I had some time to kill, I hopped into my car and headed to Starbucks and grabbed a vanilla bean frappe for myself, an iced coffee for Theo (I've been told that its his favourite) and a hot chocolate for his little sister.

When I had arrived at his house, I wasn't at all amazed by the size of it because all the houses in the Hidden Hills are that big. But the architecture was impressive.

When I rang the doorbell, it was answered by Theo himself.

"Hey," He grinned at me as I entered his home.

"I uh, got coffee," I told him. "And uh, hot cocoa for your sister."

"Thanks," He said, still grinning at me.

Just then, a young, dark haired girl ran through the foyer where we were standing. She had a bright smile and dark blue eyes that mirrored Theo's.

"Hi, I'm Athena, and I think you're pretty," She said with a giggle, and then hid behind Theo's legs.

"Hi, Athena. I'm Ella and I think you're pretty too," I said to her, smiling at her.

"Theo, is she your girlfriend?" She asked her older brother with a cheeky grin.

"Thena!" He hissed. "No she isn't!"

"Yeah, you're right," She shrugged. "She's to pretty for you."

Ouch, shots fired.

"Don't you have some colouring in to do or something?" He asked her sassily.

I couldn't help but giggle a little at the sibling banter.

"This," I said, handing Athena the cup of cocoa, "is for you."

"Thank you, Ella," She grinned at me. "She's so much nicer than you," She scoffed at her brother before running into another room.

"Uh, sorry about her," Theo mumbled as we headed up to his room.

"She's cute," I commented.

"She's a pain in the ass...most of the time," He chuckled.

Walking into his room, I couldn't help but be impressed by the simplicity of the room. Unlike most boys his age, he didn't have posters of half naked girls up on the wall. On one side of the wall was a photo collage of what I'm assuming was him and his family or friends. And unlike any boy I've ever known, he had a window seat.

"I noticed you were actually paying attention in math today," He said as we sat down at his desk.

"Well I don't exactly want to fail next Friday's test," I pointed out.

As we worked on some geometry and algebra stuff, I was finally beginning to understand some of the work.

As Theo marked my worked, I was hoping and praying that I had gotten at least some of it right because honestly, he must think I'm a complete and utter idiot.
