Rayne's pov
"Let me in." Someone called from outside. I dismissed it as Dean messing with us, since both him and Kaylee were outside.
"Is that Gabriel?" Carl asked me.
"It couldn't be, he's in his room." I said. Carl got up and opened the door.
"No he's not."
"Please, let me in." The voice plead again. Michonne held Judith while Carl and I raced to the door, loud walker groans very audible.
He started pounding on the door, begging us to let him in. We had put boards over the doors, there's no way we could get them off.
"Get back." Michonne said, axe in hand, she swung down on one of the boards, cracking it down the middle. His screams got louder, Michonne was chopping down the boards. Carl and I had a pistol each, aiming it at the door in case a walker or two got in.
Gabriel ran into the church, followed by a herd of walkers. Carl and I started shooting them down, but there were just too many. Michonne stepped in front of us and twirled her katana before beheading some of the walkers, but even she couldn't hold them at bay.
We ran back into one of the spare rooms and barricaded the door.
"That's how I got out, take the little one and go." Gabriel told us. Carl and I rushed around finding things to block the door with. Carl grabbed Judith and I grabbed a bag. Carl went first and Michonne stopped us.
"You wait for me." She ordered and we both nodded, adrenaline pumping through my body.
I got out from underneath the church and looked for any stragglers. Luckily there were none, so when Michonne and Gabriel came out, we could move. But, things don't quite work out like I'd like them to.
Gabriel took forever crawling out, and when he did get out, he told us he couldn't run anymore.
"You're not running." Michonne told him. I rolled my eyes at how pathetic and cowardly he is. He literally just risked all of our lives and thinks we're catering to him.
We left Gabriel where he was and went to the front of the church, killing the walkers stuck on the spikes, and locking the others inside of the church. I held Judith while they boarded up the doors. She was just the happiest little girl, always smiling and rarely crying. I bounced her back and forth, trying to keep her calm despite the situation we were in.
Now all we could do was wait for the others, or make a move for ourselves. Judith was strapped into a carrier on Carl's back, and we just stared at the church. Kaylee and Dean joined us, and explained that they hid up in the trees.
"Where did you go?" Michonne asked Gabriel.
"The school." He replied in monotone, looking down at the grass.
"I had to see, I had to know." He explained, and the walkers kept beating on the door, and they actually made the board come undone and it fell onto the stairs.
"What do we do?" Gabriel asked, backing away.
"We-" I was cut short by a firetruck rolling into the drive, and it just crashed into the front of the church. Abraham, Maggie and Glenn got out of the front, Rosita and Tara came from the back, but no Eugene.
"You're back?" Michonne asked them.
"Eugene lied." Glenn said, and I'm sure my eyes almost popped out of my head.
"He can't stop it. Where is everybody?" Glenn asked as the others walked around the church.
"Beth's alive, she's in a hospital in Atlanta. Some people have her, but the others went to get her back." Michonne smiled as well as I. I couldn't wait to see Beth again, it's been months since we've seen each other, and I missed her a lot.
