I smile as his lips meet mine. My legs wrap around his waist as he hoists me up securely. We continue are kissing, not breaking away from each other even when I'm pushed against the wall a little too roughly.

His hand slides under my shirt, to which I don't protest. I retaliate by unbuttoning his shirt. He doesn't shrug it off, which I don't mind too much. He'll drop me if he tries.

He pulls away to stare at me for a few seconds. I raise my brow, about to say something until he nods his head at my chest. I roll my eyes before pulling my shirt off.

He smirks. "Better."

"Shhh," I quiet before pulling him closer. We kiss again, only it doesn't last as long as the original. He starts trailing from my lips to my jaw and eventually to my neck.

I let out a small moan, making him chuckle against my neck. My eyes close before my head leans back against the wall.

My eyes open at a sharp pain in my neck, as if I were being poked with a safety pin. I gasp as the pain starts to increase in the same spot Damon's head is at.

"Da—" I cut myself off with a yelp. Frantically, I try to push Damon away from my neck. My vision starts to go blurry. Warm liquid drips from my neck into my chest. I try to push again, but he doesn't budge. "Damon?" I plead.

Finally he pulls away, and I can barely see as I slowly slide down the wall. My hand clutches the open wound as I try to gasp for breath.

I make the mistake of looking up at him, the lower half of his face coated in blood. I can make out a smirk forming.

The same ice blue eyes I fell in love with looks down at me with...nothing. No regret, no love, no amusement. Nothing.

"Gabby?"

My eyes open only to be greeted by concerned ice blue ones. I gasp before unintentionally sitting up. Damon sits up, frowning at my reaction.

My eyes widen as I slowly back away. I unintentionally touch my neck, searching for the bite mark, but nothing's there.

"Gabby?" He gently grabs my hand, making me wince. "Are you okay?" I look into his eyes, expecting to see nothing once again, but all I see is that sparkle.

I sigh because I know that sparkle means he loves me.

It was a dream, I reassure myself, a nightmare.

"Yeah," I answer, nodding my head for emphasis. I give a small smile. "Peachy."

He frowns. "Are you sure? You kept moving in your sleep."

"I'm fine," I lie, "just a nightmare." I lean closer to him. "It's no big deal."

"Gabby—"

"Shhh," I quiet before I quickly straddle him. I smirk at him before kissing him gently. "Relax..."

"Are you su—" he stops himself as my hand starts to trail down his chest.

I'm suddenly on my back, my lips no longer on him. I grin as he looks down me. He continues to stare at me, making me roll my eyes.

"Are you gonna do something or are you gonna stare?"

---------

"Wake up," someone demands, shaking me. I let out an annoyed groan and turn to the other side. "Wildfire, wake up."
