Monday

Beep! Beep! Beep!

I groaned loudly at the fact it was Monday all over again. I wasn't ready to go to school just yet, but I knew I had to. I lifted myself up just sitting on the edge of my bed. I put my rubbed my hands up and down my face three times before sighing and getting up. I walked over to my dresser grabbing my phone. After Mel and I's conversation Saturday, I turned off my phone just to have time to myself. I haven't spoke to anyone since other then. Except my grandma of course. I turned my phone back on sitting it back down on the dresser, so it could reboot while I went to go talk with my grandma. She was downstairs making breakfast; for me I hope. "Good morning grandma." I greeted walking to her to give her a hug from the side and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Morning baby. Go get dress and your plate should be down when you come back down."

"Okay." Once I walked into my room I saw my phone flicker indicating that I either got a text or phone call. I walked to it pressing the home button, so I'm able to see my notifications.

4 missed calls from Kennedy

1 text messages from Mel and 1 from Kennedy

8 voicemails

Most likely from Kennedy. I sighed unlocking the phone and going to my text messages first.

Hey Chres. I was just checkin' up on ya. -Mel

I'm good shorty. I'll see you at school ;) -Chres

~

Chres why are you not answering my damn phone calls. - Chres

I decided to listen to the voicemails later because my time was limited right now. I had about 45 minutes to get dress and eat. It took me about 20 minutes to dress and that left me with some time to eat and listen to some of these voicemails.

School

"Chres. Chres. Chres." Kennedy yelled trying to catch up with me.

"What Ken?" I really wasn't in the mood right now. I had the most intense morning with some random lady and man sending me voicemails.

"Why are you all distant now? Is it because of that hoe Melanie? I'll beat her ass for you babe."

"No you won't." I just walked pass her so I could get to class early. Lately, Kennedy has been getting on my nerves. She's just so clingy and not in a good way. I've been ignoring her because I'm not in the mood for all her drama, bullshit talkin' and jealous moments.

As I got closer to my class I felt my arm being yanked towards the lockers.

"Hey." It was Mel, I could tell by her delicate voice. "Are you alright?"

"Yea. I'm fine. I guess." I was confused and upset at the same time.

"No your not. I can see it in your eyes. Do you need a shoulder?" I did but I knew my grandpa wouldn't want that. He ain't raise no punk.

"Nah."

"Alright. I'll talk to you later then."

"Yea." I laughed lightly to lighten up the mood.

I walked the same way I did before Mel pulled me to the side, to Economics. As my teacher lectured and lectured. I tried my hardest not to fall asleep until my body gave up. "POP QUIZ!" Ms.Young screamed out. That woke me up instantly. I haven't studied at all and it's only been a month or so, and we are already having pop quizzes. The chatting grew loud instantly as soon as she said that. I only hope it's multiple choice because that leaves me with a 1/4 chance to get it right. "It's just true or false over the essential agreements. Calm down. It'll probably only be 10-15 points." A bunch of sighs of relief went throughout the class including me. Since Mel had the same teacher as me, I was debating on if I should tell her about it or not. I knew it would be funny to see her reaction after she tells me about the pop quiz that I obviously knew about, or I have the choice to tell her so she'll get a better grade then me. Nah. I'm not tellin' her. Ignorant I know. It'll be easy though, so no need for her to stress.
