"You had to have it all,

Well have you had enough?

You greedy little bastard,

You will get what you deserve.

When all that's said and done, I will be the one,

To leave you in your misery and hate what you've become." I sang along to the music playing through my headphones, my head rocking softly back and forth as my pencil sketched the paper.

After I had finished my shower and coffee, I went on a hunt for some paper and a pencil, feeling inspired to sketch something.

I was now drawing a feather.

I know. Creative, eh?

"Intoxicated eyes, no longer live that life." I murmured the rest of the lyrics, my eyes narrowed as I drew long strokes onto the paper.

I heard some mumbling through the music, and looked up to see Colton staring at the sketch book in my hand, his mouth moving.

I pulled a headphone out, interrupting him. "I heard none of what you said." I said as I put the pencil on the book that was resting on my lap.

"I said, is there anything you can't do? You can sing, you can dance, you can draw." He said, pointing with his hand to the book.

"I'm a creative person." I said, shrugging.

"You're beyond that." He said, sitting down opposite me on the bed. I smiled goofily, restraining myself from letting out a giddy squeal.

"Where is everyone?" I asked, pausing the music and finishing off my sketching.

"They worked really hard yesterday, so I told them they could do whatever they wanted."

"They left this house, didn't they?" I asked, a slight smirk on my face.

"Yeah." He said in a huff, watching my hand move back and forth. "Am I that bad?"

"Only when your Alpha comes out." I said, smudging some of the drawing to give it more detail.

"I can't really help it." He muttered.

"And I'm sure they understand that." I said whilst putting the book down on the bedside table.

"I don't know, I just feel as if they hate me for being so...control-ly." He moved his hands in a circular motion with each other, trying to find the word.

"They don't. You can see it in their eyes. They actually respect you. So much so, even the Queen would be jealous." The corner of his mouth lifted up into a small lopsided smile.

God how I love that smile.

"You're probably right." He said, smiling at me. I scoffed, raising my hands.

"When am I not?" He laughed, which caused a smile to erupt on my face. "I love that sound." I said softly, smiling.

Colton sobered up, a small smile on his face now.

"Do you think now is a good time to talk?" He asked carefully, visibly scooting closer to me.

"I think now is the perfect time. No one is around to hear my uncontrollable sobbing." I said, sighing as I set aside my phone and headphones.
