Sorry is not enough

Manik though came there to talk to her but actually was clueless where to start from. After collecting a bit of courage he started off from the most safest word in the whole world.!

" I am sorry...! I know Maine jo kiya wo galat tha but uss time par situations aisi thi ki mujhe wo karna pada.

I had no other option. Things were in the worst scenario and I just could not help it. Mere control mere favour mein kuch nahi tha . Uss tarah react karna Meri majboori thi.

Things would have gone even worse if I hadn't reacted that way. I know I have hurted you a lot . You sufferd a lot because of me but trust me I was helpless .. seriously. Maine Jo Kiya wo mujhe nhi krna Chahiye tha but..."

He paused for a while after that but and was looking at Nandini who was still standing in that same position looking in that one direction without even blinking her eyes.

He continued ; " I am sorry . That's all I can say. I am really very sorry."

Nandini still didn't reacted and neither moved. She was standing there like a statue in that one position but her ears were very attentively listening to each and every word he was saying.

She didn't spoke anything and neither he had the courage to say anything more to her. After minutes of silence Manik decided to broke the silence .

"Say something for God sake. Kuch to bolo. Please say something... Please ." He pleaded her.

Something hitted her as she heard those lines.

She turned and move towards him and said , "I said these same words to you when last we had a talk. Do you even remember it..?

Kitna kaha tha Maine Manik ki please bolo don't stay quiet kuch to bolo ki why are you doing this but you choose to keep this silence and take all the blame on yourself.

Your words wouldn't have hurted me so much as your silence did. It killed me Manikkk.. It actually killed me..!! Aaj bhi .. aaj bhi Manik I remember that phone call on which you decided to stay quiet.. Wo khamoshi aaj bhi mujhe haunt karti hai Manik.. it still does...!! And you seriously think I want any explanation from you."

Both looked at each other, understanding what the other must have went through.

Both knew the answer to her question she just asked.

No...!!! he did not needed to give any explanation to her. She knew that what he did, has hurted him also and he knew that she very well knew the reason behind all this.

But still he needed to put up his point and she needed to react the way she was doing .

It was human nature. Both knew each other's feelings but both were hurt.

One was hurt because he hurted her and broke his promise and she was hurt because he didn't have faith in her to let the truth come in front of her and reacted in the most unacceptable manner.

The cool breeze blowing did not seem to affect Nandini as she was getting more and more hyper.

Winds were making the strands of her hair cover her face then and now and she was again and again putting them back of her ear.

She was constantly looking at Manik's face with anger on her face and tears in her eyes which she fought with so that they don't come out.

But our stupid tears come out exactly in those situations when they are not needed.

Nandini didn't wanted him to see her tears. She didn't wanted him to see the other side of hers which had been missing him every single second in those 7 months.
