Everyone in my grade was at the bowling alley.

Eliza had told all our classmates to come, because apparently, she thought all of us did not spend enough time together. She did not seem to care that most of us did not even talk to each other, because she had told everyone to be there, at the bowling alley downtown, at four in the afternoon.

I would have not gone if it had not been for Josh, he had pleaded for me to give her a chance to show me just how wonderful she was. He had told me that he wanted us to be close, since he wanted to be in a relationship with her. His words had hurt me in a way that he would never know, but of course, I had said yes.

And there I was, wearing worn out shoes that did not even belong to me and a frown on my eyebrows. I was sat down beside Blake and Violet, as I bit down on my thumbnail and looked down at the floor.

All of a sudden, I saw Eliza walk away from her best friend, Holly, and towards us. She had a smile on her lips and she waved towards us in a kind way.

"I am so glad you all came!" Eliza exclaimed as she knelt down in front of us and embraced us in a quick nature. Then, she broke away and whispered to me in a quiet voice. "Meg, I have something to tell you."

I was confused and surprised and I nodded my head as she took my hand in hers. I stood up and walked with her towards a wall, she leaned her back against it. She grinned and placed her hands on my shoulders.

"That day at the beach, you were with Kyle Norwood," she started. I felt my heart beat faster in a very nervous manner. "And I could just tell that you would be so adorable together. I wanted to help you out, and that is why I told him to be here too."

I did not know what to tell her. The day before, he had been really pleasant with me and we had talked for so much time. I had had a good time with him, but I was still not certain if I could trust him. That morning, he had not been at the store, and I had been sort of disappointed. I had really wanted to see him again.

Of course, I did not say any of that to Eliza. I just nodded my head and told her in the most honest voice I could come up with, "Oh, well, thank you very much. I appreciate that."

"You are more than welcome!" she expressed with a chuckle. Then she turned around and slanted her head to the side as she sighed and said, "Would you look at that? Holly and Carter look lovely together."

With that, she walked off and started to wave at more of our classmates. I stayed there for a moment before I made my way back to Blake and Violet. They raised their eyebrows at me and waited for me to explain what the hell had just happened. I sat down beside them again and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Kyle is coming," I told them as I scratched the back of my neck and thought for a moment. "Eliza told him to because she thinks I am attracted to him, which I really am not."

"How do you feel about that?" Blake wondered with a hint of concern in her tone. I shrugged my shoulders as I frowned down at the red polish on my fingernails.

"I am not so sure," I admitted. "I did not tell you before, but yesterday we spent some time alone. Aria left the store and it was just me and him. We talked for half an hour and he was very sweet."

"I knew this would happen," Violet said with a laugh. "I knew you would realize that you can be very dramatic sometimes and that there is nothing wrong with Kyle. He is a handsome boy that wants you. And you should want him too."

"I never said there is nothing wrong with him," I argued, my tone defensive. I shook my head several times as I told them in a very fast nature. "He still is that vain boy that calls me princess and wants to sleep with me."
