Tessa's P.O.V

Two

years.

That's how long it's been since I've seen my friends.

Alex, Jake....Warren.

"Tessa!" Amber screams jumping on my bed. I groan and open my eyes.

"Hey, princess," I smile sleepily at her.

"Wake up! It's Christmas!" Amber giggles bounces on my bed.

Oh, sh!t.

"Well, let's go see if Santa came," I sit up and chase Amber into our living room.

Ten presents sit neatly underneath the Christmas tree.

I got a job at a diner that pays good money and I graduated last year.

I officially adopted Amber and put our dear father in jail. I am now majoring in photography.

I discovered my love for it last year in my senior year.

"Presents!" Amber shrieks and dives right into unwrapping.

I chuckle softly, and sit on the rocking chair.

Amber opens up her first present and smiles brightly at the dolly.

She hugs it to her chest and I smile at her. She deserves all these things. She's a straight A student at her elementary school and is very respectful.

I brew some hot chocolate while she finishes up unwrapping her presents.

"Thank you so much, Tessa!!" Amber wraps her arms around my waist.

I chuckle,"You're welcome princess."

I jump when the door bell rings. I hurriedly run to the door and swing it open.

I cover my mouth with my hand, and drop my mug of liquid on the ground.

It shatters as tears flow down my face.

"Jake!" I throw myself at a sheepish Jake.

He laughs as a voice from behind him says,"Hey, don't you miss me too?"

I shriek like a little girl and hug Alex next. He presses a kiss on top of my head.

"I've missed you guys," my voice is muffled.

"Us too."

Amber, from behind me, screams and jumps on Jake.

I laugh, and look around for Warren. My heart shatters when I realize that he isn't here.

"Hey, love," a husky voice says from the side of me.

I gasp and look to the side. There stands Warren with a bouquet of red roses.

I dart towards him and pull him close.

Our lips crash, and he lets the roses fall to the ground. He wraps his arms around me as I tug gently at the hair at the back of his neck.

He smiles and I gently bite his lower lip. He groans softly and presses his hands flat against my back.

I cry as I taste his own tears. He pulls away to look at me and I get lost in his green eyes.

They sparkle with tears and he whispers,"I love you."

I smile through my tears and reply,"I love you too."

He grins and picks me up. I giggle as he spins me around.

"Warren?" Jake looks at Warren with an unreadable expression.

Warren then grins and puts me back on the ground.

I frown, confused.

That's when he gets on one knee. I gape at him.

He pulls out a velvet box and opens it. A beautiful, diamond ring sits on the black cloth.

It's shaped in that of a rose.

Andrew's favorite flower.

"I fell in love with you, the moment I saw your big blue eyes. "

A tear falls down my cheek.

"You're perfect in every single way and I want, no I need to spend the rest of my life with you."

Is this happening?!

"Will you, Tessa Alicia Woods marry me?" Warren looks up at me hopefully.

I bend down and press my lips against his softly.

"Yes."
