"So wake me up when it's all over."
"When I'm wiser and I'm older."
"All this time I was finding myself."
"And I didn't know I was lost."
My favorite song started played on my alarm , and I waited until the whole song gently filled my room in it's amazing tunes and as it came to an end, I got out of bed. I walked into my bathroom and took a quick shower, got dressed into my signature black skinny jeans, simple blue tank top and my black wedge trainers, all in record time.
Putting on a little bit of concealer on my cheek to cover the pulsing dark bruise, making it looks kind of presentable to the people in school and on the street, I added a little bit of my pale pink lip gloss. I normally do not wear a lot of make up on my body, finding it both unnervingly uncomfortable and also because I was gifted with fairly pure skin.
After putting my dark hair in a side ponytail so that it cascaded down my shoulder smoothly in a neat pleat, I made my way downstairs for my morning routine. Somehow as soon as I'm outside my room and facing reality, my whole enthusiasm turns into burnt coal.
Dark and boring.
I suddenly remembered my leather jacket which was still in my room and had to tiptoe back upstairs, make a small run to grab it, thenlike a ninja make my way downstairs hoping to see my mum before she went to work today.
My mum was not sitting at our kitchen table with her morning coffee as she usually did, instead it was completely empty and quiet.
She must already be off to work, I thought to myself as I quickly made my breakfast and munched noisily, not caring about table manners and getting it all done with before my tormentor came grumpily downstairs.
I was just about to jog out the door, when I mentally cursed myself for forgetting something else in there too, my stupid gym bag, it had my dance clothes in it.
Today's day has been really unfortunate for me already.
I quietly made my way back upstairs again to my -tiny but cozy- bedroom and got my bag out of the closet.
My mum and dad don't know that I dance, yet, I keep this a secret too, along with my dad practically bullying me, at our -not so- humble abode.
As soon as I was out of the hell hole and could grasp some fresh air, I took a deep breath in and got walking for the 10 minute walk to school on my own as I usually did since ,as I pointed out earlier, I do not have any friends to walk along with.
As I was walking I abruptly took a halt and mentally slapped myself because within all of that ruckus I had missed my lunch for today!
Great I said to myself, I'm going to starve all day. I don't usually carry money with me since I need to start saving some money for the bike I've started building myself.
One would normally pass on a sly comment like 'How can a dainty little 17 year old girl build a motorbike on her own?'
But all I can say is that I read a lot and have learnt how to do it by myself -somehow. I could see the outline of my school building and increased my pace until I reached the top and walked inside the school just as the warning bell bellowed out in the entire premises, I sprinted to my locker to get all the books needed, then rushed inside the classroom, luckily just before the teacher came in.
