Dead Blood Episode 5 - No Going Back

Chapter 12 - Alike

"What have you done?" Cam asked in shock,
"Don't worry she'll come back I didn't hurt her brain" Lizzie told him,
"You've murdered her!" Cam shouted,
"She's not dead, she'll come back in a minute" Lizzie said,
"She will come back as one of them" Cam told her,
"But it will still be her" Lizzie told him. Cam was in shock and he stared down at Mika who was lying on the floor, suddenly Daisy came running up behind him,
"What's happened?" She asked,
"Exactly how it looks" Cam replied,
"Why?" Daisy asked,
"Because everyone needs to realise that she will come back" Lizzie told them both,
"Lizzie how about you come with me and we'll clean you up, Cam will handcuff Mika just so she doesn't run away" Daisy said,
"I guess so, promise?" She asked Cam, he then smiled and nodded. Daisy put her arm around Lizzie and walked her inside, Daisy turned around at Cam and gave him a nod, Cam dropped to his knees and looked at Mika, he had tears rolling down his face and he then got out his machete and drove it into Mika's head.

Daisy came back to Cam after he had buried Mika,
"I've taken all sharp things from her and I've locked her in a cell in a different cell block" Daisy told him,
"Do the others know?" Cam asked,
"No, they're asleep" Daisy replied, "what are we going to do now?" she asked,
"I could leave with her, try and get her some help" Cam suggested,
"I feel there is only one thing to do" Daisy told him,
"We can't, she's only young, besides Rebekah was like that before and she came over it" Cam said,
"Did she kill anyone because of it though?" Daisy asked,
"No" Cam replied.

Once Cam had gotten Daisy off his back he went inside the prison, he went to the cell block in which Lizzie was locked inside and he opened her cell.
"What are you doing?" She asked,
"You're leaving with me because I believe in you, but the others don't and they have every right not to, I just have my reasons that's all" Cam replied,
"Is Mika alive yet?" Lizzie asked,
"No and she never will be because you killed her and don't say anything just listen" Cam ordered,
"I'm sorry" Lizzie said,
"I'm sorry for Mika who had to die because her older sister didn't understand" Cam told her.

Cam and Lizzie snuck past the group and left,
"Where are we going?" Lizzie asked,
"A hospital, I saw when on the way" Cam replied.

Th yet ravelled for a couple of miles on foot until they came to a hospital, they went inside and Cam entered an examining room,
"That guys in pain, release him Cam" Lizzie said pointing to a walker who was lying on a bed trying to get out but was chained to it, Cam checked to see if the X-ray camera was on and it was, he then walked up to the walker and shot it.
"Here's an old image of someone's brain before they turned, and here is the walkers brain, only the root is alive, at that point it has no attachment to what it used to brain because none of its brain is working like that" Cam explained,
"But why?" Lizzie asked,
"The infection wiped out nearly the whole population, mostly because of the bite but it's not the bite that actually does, because we're on infected and you come back no matter what, here is no feeling of what they were before, it's only functions are to eat the living" Cam told her,
"Oh my god" Lizzie said as she sat down on a chair,
"Mika's dead because you killed her, not because i destroyed her brain before she came back" Cam said,
"I understand, now can we leave now?" Lizzie asked,
"Yes" Cam said and they exited the hospital.

"Are we going back to the prison?" she asked,
"No, not after what happened" Cam replied,
"Why do you believe in me?" Lizzie asked,
"I would say because I made your father a promise or because you remind me of a friend I knew but that wouldn't be the whole truth, the truth is you remind me of me, you are different from everyone else, you're quiet but you're strong minded and now that you understand what's going on I believe that you're going to become a great leader" Cam told her...
