She was an American actress and singer who played Allison D'Allessio in The Shaggy Dog, Jennifer in The Monkey's Uncle, and Mary Contrary in Babes in Toyland.
She was one of the original mouseketeers in the Mickey Mouse Club. She sang several songs written by the Sherman Brothers and released under the Disneyland and Buena Vista record labels.
You may have recognized her in the Beach Party movies.
In 1992 on her son's birthday, the day before her fiftieth birthday, she was honored to receive the Disney Legend Awards.
In 1993, on her birthday again, her present was a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
Out of respect to her contributions to Disney history (and in reference to her non-Disney "Beach Party" films of the 1960s), the 2013 Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach Movie was dedicated to her memory.
Annette Funicello, you will always be Cinderella to me. And some day that dream, that wish, will come true. Thank You.
