Dad told Micky never to stare at a beast for he will feel you watching, but right now all Micky can seem to do is watch with furrowed eyebrows. Her lips pull into a forced, awkward grin as Grayson pulls up from his bow, though Grayson sees it as a grimace. His wide eyes glitter with amusement and confidence reeks from his smirk. Micky's heart clenches as he looks at her innocently, but the small touch of slyness makes Micky shiver and clench her teeth.

"I suggest that you back up," Lucifer growls from behind Grayson's ear, sucking a sharp breath of air through gritted teeth.

"Yes, Master," Grayson jokes, scooting his foot no more than a centimeter away. He doesn't fully comprehend what's going on, but he and his wolf love the attention they're getting; it's a lot different than before. Lucifer slams his balled fist into Grayson's temple, feeling like plunging thousands of knives into the new man. He wants blood. He needs blood.

Micky jumps forward out of her chair and grabs Lucifer from behind. Lucifer unwraps her hands from his body and jolts himself so that she stumbles backwards, then heads towards his new enemy again. Grayson rolls on the floor with droopy eyes and as he moves from his old spot, and Micky notices a patch of blood on the carpet. That only boosts Lucifer's blood lust. He lets out a loud roar and reaches, grabbing Grayson by the neck and slamming his head against the floor. Micky gasps while running forward, tugging wildly at Lucifer's arm. Her weak attempts make her feel helpless, but she has to do something.

"Lucifer!" Micky begs, pounding on his arm and back as his grip tightens. Grayson's face starts to turn blue and his eyes blink rapidly. He just wanted some attention, not to cause a problem. Grayson chokes out a whimper and opens his mouth to apologize, but no words come out. His eyes fill with tears. Did he steal too much attention?

"Sorry," he whispers, letting out a silent cough. He fidgets and tries to loosen himself from Lucifer's grasp. "I'm sorry." Micky climbs under Lucifer's arm and wedges herself between the two men, using all of the force she can to push him backwards. His arm seems never-ending though, and Grayson is almost unconscious. In one last attempt to move him, Micky slams her head forwards like her dad taught her, though she barely ever practiced without a weapon. He steps back with a stream of blood running down his face as Grayson relaxes, slowly raising his eyes with a look of relief.

Thank you, Grayson's eyes tell Micky. She looks at him with a small smile then focuses back on Lucifer who has recovered.

"Move," he snarls, his red eyes glaring at her. Micky's arm trembles so she crosses it over her chest and straightens.

"No." Her head shakes. "I won't do that." Lucifer tenses and throws his arm at her, missing by inches.

"MOVE!" His eyes widen momentarily but Micky stands still. She doesn't even know if she can move with how bad her body is shaking, but she manages to turn her head to the side and swallow. Her tongue dries up and she closes her eyes, her nose tingling. She feels Grayson get up. His hand runs on the lower part of her back and he grips her shirt, soon burying his head into her neck. Lucifer growls and bares his teeth at Grayson before slamming his hand on the countertop and running out the front door. Micky stands still for a few minutes to make sure he's gone, then peers around to see a large crack in the tabletop. Grayson whimpers and pulls back, tears muffling the color of his eyes.

"Sorry for stealing the attention." His apologetic look and the way his bottom lip trembles breaks Micky's heart, and she envelopes him in a bear hug. They stand like that for a long time, neither moving at all while Micky thinks deeply. She's figured it out; standing up to Lucifer always makes him go away.

Lucifer drags the man back, snarling when he whimpers. "Be strong," Lucifer recites, his voice coming off as emotionless to the man. It was robotic-he's repeated it so many times it slips out without him even thinking.

"I'm not strong," the man replies meekly. "That's why I'm out here." Lucifer continues walking towards his house.

"Then change." It's one of the longest conversation he's had with someone. Lucifer remembers why he keeps to himself. The man snorts and rolls his eyes, turning his head.

He forgets who Lucifer is momentarily, replying, "Don't you think I've tried?" Lucifer growls and steps closer to the man. He applauds the man's bravery but he and his wolf both hate the disrespect given. Lucifer steps back and let's go of the man, walking to his house. Either the man will follow or he won't. When footsteps follow almost soundlessly, Lucifer smirks. Pack member number 2.

"Get out." Grayson tenses and turns around with furrowed eyebrows.

"Huh?" Lucifer clenches his jaw and repeats himself. Micky watches from the couch, glaring hard at Lucifer. He has no right to get rid of Grayson; what happened earlier was his fault, Micky thinks. However, Lucifer continues to stare Grayson down, losing his patience.

"LEAVE!" The new man stands outside the front door, wondering whether he should leave or not. Will this happen to him, also?

"He will not leave, so bring in your new boy toy and leave Grayson alone," Micky snaps, losing her temper. Her period is getting close so her emotions have been spiked; especially anger. But it's not only that; she is lonely, misses her family, and is trapped in a house that isn't hers, so she is happy to finally have a 'friend.' Lucifer won't take that away from her, she vows.

"This does not involve you, mate." Micky's glare does not compare to Lucifer's, yet she holds her head high and climbs off the couch. Grayson backs up to the front door, huddling with the new guy who shifts awkwardly.

"Oh yes it does," Micky argues, crossing her arms. "He will not leave and that is final." With a turn of her head, Micky knows that she has won. Lucifer growls lowly and heads towards the stairs. Micky watches.

Slowly he turns around, his piercing gaze directed right at Micky. "This is why I don't need anyone."

Sorry for not updating; I'm sure you guys know by now that I'm not the best at that, but don't think that I have abandoned this story! How was this chapter? Sorry if the end seems a little rushed-I tried to hurry and finish up, but I'm not overwhelmingly happy with how this turned out.

Anyways, hope you all have a day almost as beautiful as you are! Love, Sierra :)
